【Your friend Civil Engineering Brother has sent you a gift.】

Before starting this transaction, Civil Engineering Brother sent something to Qiyu.

【Obtained 70 emerald crystals.】

Then came a trade.

【Obtained 14,000 Wood.】

【Civil Engineering Brother: From yesterday until now, over a hundred people have bought information on wandering merchants from me, with the buyers covering the transaction fees. Here’s your cut, big shot.】

Along with these two items came a transaction list, detailing every single transaction.

This requires a Civil Engineering Brother to record it manually—it’s one of his specialties.

It feels great to suddenly have some money come in. It’s really worth having a friend like Civil Engineering Brother.

To thank him, Qiyu picked a sprig of lily of the valley and sent it to him.

【I Love Survival Game: Here, this is for you.  You can place it anywhere in the shelter, but  I suggest putting it a little farther away—don’t put it too close to yourself.】

Civil Engineering Brother looked at the fresh, elegant little flowers in his hand, reached out to touch them gently, and felt a slight smile spread across his face.

Beautiful things always have a way of putting people at ease, especially in an environment as fraught with danger as a survival game.

But why did the game expert advise keeping it far away?

The survival panel also indicated a 15-day lifespan, just like the bright sunflower. That bright sunflower still hangs diligently in the Civil Engineering Brother’s living room, serving as a lamp—fresh and bright, with not a hint of wilting.

But even so, humans are, after all, visual creatures.

Civil Engineering Brother filled a bowl with a little less than half a bowl of water and carefully submerged the base of the lily-of-the-valley stem into it.

A “screaming” lily of the valley? Looking at this beautiful little thing, Civil Engineering Brother Tumu found it hard to imagine how it could possibly scream.

But given the current situation, a mutated creature is bound to show up soon.

Civil Engineering Brother thought for a moment, then pulled a vial of potion from his backpack. It was a potion designed to attract mutated creatures. He opened the vial and carefully dropped a single drop onto the ground.

Then he sat down in his chair, eagerly waiting to see how the screaming lily of the valley would perform. About two minutes passed.

“Ding-ling! Ding-ling! Ding-ling!” A series of crisp, rapid bells suddenly exploded in his ears!

Having played survival games for quite some time now, Civil Engineering Brother hadn’t heard such a sharp, stimulating, and invigorating sound in ages!

He instinctively jumped up from his chair and looked at the bowl of water on the table. He saw the lily-of-the-valley stem, submerged in the water, trembling wildly, as if it were about to leap out of the bowl.

But that wasn’t the end of it.

After the ringing cycle ended, the screaming lily of the valley suddenly fell silent, and the world seemed to grow quiet as well. Just as Civil Engineering Brother was about to breathe a sigh of relief, a series of urgent and agonizing screams erupted one after another:

“Aaaaaah~~~”

The screams were high-pitched and piercing.

Civil Engineering Brother instinctively grabbed the thing and tossed it into his backpack.

He rubbed his temples, which seemed to be buzzing, and decided to test the thing’s effectiveness.

He took it out again, placed it back on the table, and, knife in hand, dashed out of the shelter.

Once outside the wooden cabin, even from a distance, the sound of the lily of the valley inside was still crisp, but at least it no longer felt like a bomb going off right next to his ear.

There were no signs of an invasion in the territory until half a minute later, when Civil Engineering Brother Tu Mu spotted a mutated creature tracking him by scent.

After sending out the screaming lily of the valley, there was no word from Civil Engineering Brother for a good half hour.

Qiyu cleared away the side dishes and couldn’t resist taking a bite.

Crisp and juicy, with plenty of moisture and a hint of sweetness. Delicious.

Here’s a little something for my good friend God Has No Form, who makes such delicious meals.

Then, use the red maple wood dropped to craft a new energy tower, place it next to the existing one, and fully recharge it with 10 Level 1 Magic Crystals.

Prepare 1,000 units of wood and set them aside to automatically restore the fence’s durability.

He set the teleportation scroll’s destination to the refuge. That way, if any unexpected situations arise, he can get back on time. Next, he’ll pack my backpack, grab some delicious wraps, and get ready to continue exploring the Star Forest.

Because it had rained, the soil was a bit damp; it felt especially soft underfoot and was prone to getting muddy.

Fortunately, the Emerald Boots he’s wearing are equipment, so their status automatically resets every two seconds. If they reach two seconds, simply unequip and re-equip them to refresh the status immediately.

The rain had cast a light mist over the Star Forest; the green woods were shrouded in varying shades of mist, creating a beautiful scene. Today, he continued heading east.

Having cleared a path yesterday and now familiar with the route, Qiyu arrived at the location of the scent-tracing grass. Here, a long countdown timer appeared overhead, indicating it was ready to be harvested.

But Qiyy—he had come to uproot them and take them back. Five minutes later, the area was completely empty,

Qiyu was actually a bit tempted by the soil, which looked incredibly fertile. Yesterday, he’d tried digging up some dirt to see if he could take it back to his territory and pass it off as farmland—the result, of course, was… that it didn’t work.

He continued on his way.

The Star Forest, after the rain, seemed a little livelier.

Along the way, Qiyu encountered 1 Mutant Green Patterned Snake and 3 Mutant Magic Hedgehogs. Both were high-level creatures, but they didn’t drop anything worthwhile.

He arrived at the location of the honey crystal flower.

This time was just like yesterday.

Yesterday, the moment Qiyu appeared, he was met with a barrage of flying needles. But now, Qiyu was prepared for a surprise attack from the flying bees.

However, upon sensing his presence, the swarm of emerald bees did not panic as they had the day before.

They watched this unexpected visitor with curiosity. After a moment, a relatively large bee flew over tentatively, circling Qiyu, seemingly confirming something. It then happily landed on his still-fluffy curls and hid there, completely out of sight.

Its presence seemed to serve as some kind of signal. Qiyu was surrounded by the swarm of emerald bees.

It was not an aggressive kind of encirclement; he felt as if the swarm had mistaken him for a plant they particularly liked, as they flitted affectionately around him, and the sweet scent of honey crystal flower nectar filled the air around Qiyu’s nose.

He was starting to crave some honey.

He’d tasted a bit yesterday—it was sweet and fragrant.

Ever since arriving in the survival game, it seemed like every day he was discovering a new kind of the world’s most delicious food. Qiyu sensed the bees’ friendly disposition.

This made him change his initial plan.

He cautiously approached the large cluster of beautiful honey crystal flowers. Seeing that the bees showed no hostility, he took the opportunity to go a step further, took out his tools, and tried to dig.

The bees became a little restless.

A buzzing sound rang in his ears, but compared to the lily of the valley, it was still far too gentle.

Seeing that the bees had absolutely no intention of attacking him, Qiyu picked up the pace. In just a few swift movements, he had completely harvested the honey crystal flowers and stowed them in his backpack.

The emerald bees began scratching their heads again.

Qiyu raised his staff and cast a basic blessing spell on the swarm of emerald bees.

He asked softly, “Would you be willing to move to a new place along with the honey crystal flowers?”

The Level 1 magical creatures understood his words.

But as Qiyu turned to leave, a green crystalline mist followed him.

The territory has gained new members—how delightful.

After finishing up with the honey crystal flowers, Qiyu finally opened his character panel. Checking messages:

【Civil Engineering Brother: Boss, I’ve finished the experiment.】

【Civil Engineering Brother: These screaming lilies of the valley are really useful; they can detect the traces of mutated creatures half a minute earlier than humans.】

【Civil Engineering Brother: I’ve tested it myself—I’ve been using a whole string of them. After repeated testing, I found that even a single flower can provide early warning, and it still lasts for 15 minutes.】

The next message was clearly a few seconds late.

【Civil Engineering Brother: Plus, the sound isn’t that scary—it’s more like a chorus of notes rising and falling in succession.】

Qiyu stared at the words “repeated testing” several times, filled with deep respect.

He asked curiously:【I Love Survival Game: Are there a lot of mutated creatures where you are?】

【Civil Engineering Brother: Game Pro, you finally replied to me!】

【Civil Engineering Brother: No, I used a potion to deliberately lure them here.】

【Civil Engineering Brother: Game Pro, how much of the screaming lily of the valley do you have in stock? This stuff will definitely sell—it’s way easier to sell than the sunflowers!】 Qiyu hadn’t actually counted.

The Lily of the Valley covered a vast area; he knew it was due to the influence of the Golden Apple Tree—these plants seemed to yield even more than usual.

【I Love Survival Game: If I sell each flower separately as you suggested, I’ve got plenty—lots and lots.】

【Civil Engineering Brother: Okay, when can we start selling them?】

【I Love Survival Game: Tonight.】

【Civil Engineering Brother: Boss, if I may ask—did you breed the screaming lily of the valley and the bright sunflower yourself?】

There’s nothing to hide here. If he was going to run this business in the future, he couldn’t keep it under wraps:

【I Love Survival Game: Mm-hmm.】

God Has No Form also sent him a message:

【God Has No Form: Vegetables this fresh?】

【God Has No Form: You actually got something this good from opening a chest?】

【I Love Survival Game: Yes, I grew them myself.】

【God Has No Form: Dad!】

【I Love Survival Game:? Why are you saying such strange things?】

Dan Xingyu: Eww! What a stuffy adult.

【God Has No Form: Okay, big brother.】

【God Has No Form: Big bro, are you the reincarnation of Shennong? You’ve been hiding such amazing skills from me all this time. My kid’s been craving this so much he’s practically crying.】

【God Has No Form: This vegetable is so fresh and crisp. Tear off a few leaves, put them inside a wrap, and roll it up—it’ll be delicious.】

Qiyu silently took note.

【Your friend “I Love Survival Game” has sent you a gift.】

Dan Xingyu opened it.

【Received Side Dishes x10.】

【I Love Survival Game: A thank-you gift for the delicious wraps.】
