He stepped out of the wooden cabin full of enthusiasm, eager to test what he’d learned the night before, only to discover that it seemed to have rained last night. The soil was slightly damp, the plants were well-watered, and droplets of rain still clung to the leaves and petals, not yet completely dry.

There was no need to water the plants.

He cast a wide-area basic blessing spell over several pieces of farmland. Success.

Now he didn’t have to tend to them one plot at a time.

Since the other magical plots weren’t available, he decided to try it out himself.

*All Element Magic Popularization* covers nearly every spell across all elemental systems, from beginner to advanced levels—with the exception of forbidden spells, almost everything is included.

In other words, as long as Qiyu learns them, has sufficient magical power, and reaches the required level, he’ll be able to cast them.

With his mind bombarded by knowledge, he found it utterly astonishing that this book was merely a blue prop.

Aegnor, the grand archmage, only had magic notes that covered life and wood magic.

However, the pathways of magical energy are the same; learning other disciplines is simply a matter of one-on-one instruction versus self-study with textbooks.

He studied—he studied it all.

In a survival game, he had plenty of free time, all of which he devoted to studying.

Qiyu cast a “Cleaning Spell” on himself—a spell he’d just learned, a household spell belonging to the Water element, designed to remove dust and grime from his body.

It was his first time using it, so he wasn’t very skilled yet; the water element overflowed, soaking him from head to toe.

“Just right,” Qiyu thought optimistically. “This is the perfect chance to try something else.” He began to channel the fire elements in the air, attempting to dry himself off with fire magic.

Three minutes later, he’d roasted himself into a little curly-haired ball.

In the few days since entering the survival game, Qiyu hadn’t just grown taller—his hair was also growing vigorously, at a rate that was a bit abnormal.

Finding it a hassle, he’d trimmed his hair short with a dagger just last night, but when he woke up this morning, it had already grown nearly to his shoulders.

“Being singed isn’t so bad,” he thought, shaking his head. He remained optimistic—at least it was shorter now.

I still want to play.

But first, time to get down to business.

He went to the water well to fetch a bucket of clean water, went to the kitchen, lit a fire, and boiled the water.

Throughout the entire process, aside from using his now-well-practiced Fireball spell to light the fire, he did everything else by hand.

Although magic is fun, when it comes to food and drinking water, he can’t afford to approach it with a “playful” or “experimental” mindset. He took a piece of meat, sliced it into thin strips, and boiled it in water.

Then, he added salt, MSG, fruit juice, syrup, and chili powder… A little bit of each!

Qiyu watched eagerly as the water in the pot turned a dark brown, and a complex aroma tickled his nose. He placed the meat slices on a plate and tasted them with confidence.

“……” Silence.

With a slice of meat in his mouth, he could indeed taste a blend of numbing, fragrant, sweet, and spicy flavors. But how was this different from the complex flavor of dried meat?

It wasn’t very tasty.

Puzzled, he finished all the meat on the plate.

There was still the soup—its flavor seemed even stranger than the meat’s, but he drank it anyway.

Just as he finished the soup, the Survival Panel flashed, indicating a new message.

He hadn’t opened the Survival Panel yet today.

【Current Location: Star Forest.】

【Today’s Weather: Cloudy turning to light rain, 20°C–28°C.】

The message was sent by “God Has No Form.”

【God Has No Form has sent you a gift.】

【God Has No Form: I packed up a few things this morning. It’s a bit late, but here are some flatbreads I baked earlier—just make do with them.】

【God Has No Form:?】

【God Has No Form: Haven’t you collected last night’s food yet?】

Qiyu scrolled up through the chat history and saw that around midnight, God Has No Form had sent him a gift.

【God Has No Form: This covers the price difference for the towers.】

【God Has No Form: I’m not the type to take advantage of people.】

He chose to accept everything.

The gift God Has No Form had just sent was a wooden chest. On top were five neatly stacked spring rolls, and alongside them were a few pancakes.

The gift at midnight reads:

【Obtained parchment paper x40, Obtained teleportation scroll x1.】

【Teleportation scroll: Select a location and tear the scroll to teleport to your destination. If no location is selected, you will be randomly teleported to a five-gong radius around the refuge.】

Qiyu realized its importance almost instantly: it was an item meant to save his life at any moment.

His first thought was: Now he no longer had to worry about God Has No Form’s safety at all—since God Has No Form had set one aside for him, he was sure to have kept even more for himself.

With his mind at ease, he carefully examined the food God Has No Form had sent.

The pancakes were golden brown on both sides and gave off a fragrant aroma of oil.

The wraps consisted of pancakes filled with ingredients; Qiyu picked one up and found it contained thin slices of grilled meat and a tender, pale-yellow ingredient he didn’t recognize. It smelled so good.

He couldn’t resist taking a bite.

But there was no reaction.

【God Has No Form:?】, replied to him:

【I Love Survival Game: I’ve received everything. The pancakes were delicious—you’re really talented.】

God Has No Form sent another question mark.

【God Has No Form: You’ve accepted both gifts, right?】 He deliberately emphasized “both.”

Qiyu finally understood.

【I Love Survival Game: I’ve received them all, and thanks for the teleportation scroll, too.】

A few seconds passed.

【God Has No Form: Don’t you have anything else to say?】

Actually, yes.

【I Love Survival Game: I made my own meat soup this morning and added lots of seasoning, but it still doesn’t taste as good as yours.】

【I Love Survival Game: You’re really amazing.】

“……” Dan Xingyu took a deep breath and laughed in exasperation.

Well, yesterday’s number one on the leaderboard couldn’t even beat a plate of fried rice.

And today, even a teleportation scroll couldn’t hold a candle to a single pancake.

That’s actually great—it shows that the game’s top player walks the talk, is consistent in word and deed, and doesn’t judge people by their rankings. He’s truly an open and down-to-earth person.

……I can’t make this up anymore.

【God Has No Form: It’s fine, just eat your pancake.】

【God Has No Form: Oh, by the way, I probably won’t have time for lunch. If you get hungry, just grab some meat and veggies and wrap them in a pancake—I should have enough for you.】

After posting that message, he was speechless himself. Dan Xingyu, you really have become a competent cook.

Qiyu ate just one wrap and already felt full—after all, he’d already had a breakfast he’d made himself. He put the remaining food away.

First, he collected the loot from the Red Maple Forest, obtaining 100 red maple wood (Green); there was no Blue-quality wood.

Looks like his luck isn’t very good today.

However, after taking a look at the farmland, Qiyu took back what he’d said.

The Creeping Vine, Lily of the Valley, and greens—the three plants he’d planted yesterday morning—were all nearly ripe. The leaves of the greens were a vibrant green; at a glance, you could tell they were fresh and crisp.

The Creeping Vine was originally a green ornamental plant, but after just one night, it had completely mutated into a different form. Its main vine was a deep crimson, with slender, blood-red tendrils trailing in all directions—both beautiful and eerie.

【Blood thorn vine: A beautiful yet dangerous plant. If you’re drawn to its beauty, please view it with caution.】

Some of the vines had already climbed up the fence behind him, wrapping themselves tightly around it.

Qiyu admired the sight for a moment; he thought the bare wooden fence paired with the crimson vines looked quite nice. Of course, he still checked to make sure this combination wouldn’t affect the fence’s durability.

The lily of the valley had also mutated:

【Screaming lily of the valley: These lively little creatures may have a keener sense of danger than most people.】

This patch of lily-of-the-valley is also growing exceptionally lush.

True to their name, clusters of buds hang from the branches like little bells, weighing them down so that the branches bend downward.

All three of these plants are just over ten minutes away from maturity.

To Qiyu’s surprise, it was the gale grass.

The gale grass was planted on the afternoon of the third day of the Safe Phase; it takes 48 hours to mature. Now, there are only a few hours left on the countdown.

Over the past two days, the gale grass has been perfectly quiet; aside from indicating a lack of water, it hasn’t made a single other demand.

Visually, whether it was the blood thorn vine—a mutation of the Creeping Vine—or the already stunningly beautiful Lily of the Valley, both were far more eye-catching than the unremarkable gale grass.

But right now, tiny specks of golden light have also begun to appear on the leaves of the unassuming gale grass. The gale grass has mutated, too!

【Wind blade grass: A magical plant that, when attacked, conjures small wind blades to strike enemies.】

【Magical plants growing within a territory prioritize the territory by default.】

A plant that protects the territory!

Qiyu’s gaze toward it instantly softened and grew more affectionate.

Now, let’s look at the two most precious plants currently in the entire territory.

The mist star flower grows very quickly; it’s already ankle-high, and its silvery leaves shimmer with a gilded luster. Though it hasn’t bloomed yet, its beauty is already evident.

It truly lives up to its reputation as the most popular and expensive plant.

As for the golden apple sapling, the ground remained completely bare; if not for the text description, one would never have known a plant was even planted there. However, Qiyu had absolutely no complaints about its “slow growth.”

He already knew exactly what kind of plant this gold apple sapling was. Thanks to the *magical plant encyclopedia*!

The Golden Apple Tree—the sacred tree of the Goddess of Nature. Most grow in *****, and are rarely seen outside that realm. Legend has it that only those favored by the goddess are worthy of beholding its true form.

Right now, it is growing on Qiyu’s land. Although it grew slowly, it possessed tremendous vitality and was thriving.

As the goddess’s sacred tree, the Golden Apple Tree is practically a “king” among plants. Qiyu finally understood why all the other plants in his territory were “thriving.”

Thanks again to *The Magical Plant Encyclopedia*.

However, there’s one issue with this book: many places where place names appear are marked with an “*”.

It’s obvious that this is to conceal certain information. Is there something the players don’t know?

Qiyu thought of his good friend in Server 88, who was in a desert completely different from the Forest of Stars. This survival game seems to be an incredibly vast world after all.

As he pondered, several dazzling flashes of golden light streaked across the sky. The Creeping Ivy, Lily of the Valley, and bok choy had all ripened.

Just as a pleased smile began to spread across Qiyu’s face, suddenly, a thunderous sound began to ring incessantly in his ears:

“Ding-ling~ Ding-ling~ Ding-ling~”

Countless bells bombarded his ears frantically.

Before the jingling had even ceased, a piercing scream followed:

“Ah—”

“Aaaah—”

Qiyu:???

A blue beam of magic saved him. It was the Tower.

【Your territory has been invaded by mutated creatures.】

【The crisis in your territory has been resolved.】

Two beams of light silently eliminated the unannounced intruder.

The moment the mutated creature dissolved into light, the tinkling of bells and the screams came to an abrupt halt.

Qiyu turned his head in a daze, gazing at the vast expanse of colorful lily-of-the-valley—beautiful, elegant, and serene.

True to its system-certified status as a “very lively little guy,” he shook his head—it seemed as though some kind of echo was still ringing in his ears—and tapped his friend’s list without hesitation.
