Little Old Me hadn’t originally planned to kick “My Fate Is in My Hands, Not in the Heavens” out this early.

Although he’s a bit of a fool, he did hold the number one spot on the leaderboard for a while, triggered server-wide announcements more than once early on, and does indeed have some good stuff in his possession.

Especially after all three of his number-one rankings were snatched away by “I Love Survival Game,” the Temple of Gods gradually became a hollow shell, and players’ praise and flattery toward him weren’t what they used to be.

Previously, he—whom he had regarded as his right-hand man—acted very domineering and even publicly broke ties with him, causing him to lose face in a big way.

At a time when everyone had turned against him, “Little Old Me”—who remained steadfast, treated him with the utmost respect and flattery, and never defied him—stood out as particularly valuable.

“My Fate Is in My Hands, Not in the Heavens”—in order to win over this subordinate who had “proved his loyalty in times of adversity,” truly parted with quite a few valuable items lately.

“There’s still more to squeeze out of him”—that was “Little Old Me’s” assessment of me up until today. That is, until the server-wide announcement just popped up out of nowhere.

Only then did “Little Old Me” realize that “I Love Survival Game” had actually pulled so far ahead of the other players in the region.

As the “Liver Emperor” put it, while everyone else was still playing single-player building minigames, “I Love Survival Game” had already begun exploring the vast world.

How can anyone compare to that?

The progress “I Love Survival Game” has made is now far beyond what an average player could ever achieve by just climbing the leaderboards or opening diamond chests. Little Old Me decided to go all out and started shouting “Big Shot!” right there in the region chat.

Anyway, he’s shameless and doesn’t care about losing face. Since someone actually earned him a green resource point the proper way, it’s not too much to call him “boss.” Unexpectedly, “My Fate Is in My Hands, Not in the Heavens” saw it and immediately sent him a private message to berate him.

He called him short-sighted, saying he’d been bought off by such a measly amount—he was nothing but an ungrateful dog.

Little Old Me: “……”

At that moment, he suddenly realized that this person was even dumber than he’d imagined. A fool isn’t scary, but when stupidity reaches a certain level, he actually starts to worry a bit.

He worried that one day he might get dragged down by him.

Since things had come to this, he might as well seize the opportunity to cut ties immediately.

【My Fate Is in My Hands, Not the Heaven’s: Little Old Me, you—you dog of a bastard, I’ll $^%^&%********……】

【My Fate Is in My Hands, Not the Heaven’s: So you swindled me out of my stuff, and now you’re spreading rumors about me, huh? You piece of trash, just wait—don’t let me run into you when the Resource Zone opens!】

【Little Old Me: I dare say he definitely has evidence on him.】

【Little Old Me: @I’m Domineering, you should remember that “My Fate” once bragged to us about his very first server-wide announcement—he’d obtained a ranged attack item that let him choose who to curse.】

【I’m Domineering: That’s true.】

Even I’m Domineering was left speechless this time.

He said the same thing to him when they had a falling out before. But back then, he thought he was just making it up on the spot!

Could it be that he just made it up out of thin air—and actually hit the nail on the head?

If that’s true, then wasn’t I’m So Handsome killed by that idiot “My Fate Is in My Hands, Not the Heaven’s”?

“I’m So Handsome” was the first friend he made in the survival game. Their usernames were similar; they were on the same wavelength, and they got along pretty well. You could say “I’m So Handsome” was one of the few friends he’d actually made with genuine sincerity.

If it really was “My Fate” who did it, “I’m Very Domineering” immediately decided to join the group.

【I’m Domineering: I’ve said it before—he’s always resented the game’s top player and has tried to take him down many times. Unfortunately, no one believed me.】

【Little Old Me: I have chat logs to prove it—My Fate had already used up his ranged attack items.】

【Tranquility Yields Transcendence:  That’s all you’ve got? That doesn’t prove what you’re saying.】

“My fate is in my own hands, not in the cold,” he sneered. They’re all in a survival game right now, not the real world. As long as he doesn’t admit it himself, who can convict him?

【Little Old Me: Please take a look at the screenshots I saved (Image) (Image) (Image).】

【Little Old Me: After the “Rain of Calamity” incident, many kind-hearted players in the region voluntarily donated supplies, with “Eternal Elegance” leading the way by contributing a batch of supplies. At first, My Fate showed absolutely no interest, but after I mentioned the saying that “doing good deeds can offset some of one’s sins,” he immediately donated a large amount of supplies.】

【Little Old Me: I’ve had my suspicions ever since then, but without evidence, I didn’t dare say much for fear of falsely accusing someone.】

【Little Old Me: That was until recently, when I obtained an item.】

【Little Old Me: Information·Purification Vial. This item is quite magical—water held in the vial can wash away negative emotions. As long as you pour your heart out to the water and then drink it, all negative emotions will be temporarily washed away.】

【Little Old Me: However, it produces only a limited amount of purified water each day, so I’ve been giving it to My Fate for several days in a row.】

This is also a major reason why he’s been able to dig up quite a few good things from “My Fate Is in My Hands, Not in the Heavens.” Hearing this, a sense of foreboding welled up in “My Fate Is in My Hands, Not in the Heavens”’s heart.

【Little Old Me: But he doesn’t know that I, too, discovered by chance that as the owner of a prop, I can hear those “negative emotions” being poured out and cleansed.】

【Little Old Me: He’s said it himself more than once—that he accidentally killed thousands of innocent people. He doesn’t feel guilty about it; rather, during this period, the “Sunflower of Light” sold by the game’s big shot had just withered, and in the dead of night, when his mental state was severely compromised, he’d have nightmares about it.】

【Little Old Me: If even half a word of what I’ve just revealed—everything regarding “My Fate Is in My Hands, Not in the Heavens”—is a lie, may I never again be able to obtain any resources in the survival game.】

【Little Old Me: @My Fate Is in My Hands, Not in the Heavens, now that it’s come to this, do you still have any excuses to make?】 After Little Old Me finished speaking, the regional channel—which had tens of thousands of users—strangely went blank.

An inexplicable atmosphere hung over the area.

Even those who usually loved to chat the most dared not speak lightly, waiting for a resolution. Qi Yu was waiting, too.

【My Fate Is in My Hands, Not the Heaven’s: Heh.】

He typed just one character, but no one knew that the person staring at the survival panel had bloodshot eyes from the strain. Things hadn’t been going well for him lately.

To be precise, ever since the top spot was snatched away from him, things hadn’t gone his way.

When he went to the resource zone, he was provoked by the sheer number of native martial artists there.

Back in the survival game, that bunch of sycophants at the Temple of Gods—who’d always fawned over him—became blatantly dismissive the moment they saw he was no longer number one.

Then there was the incident where they brazenly swindled his supplies, causing others to turn on him.

Then came the Rain Swift Points Event, where he got utterly crushed—he couldn’t even hold onto first, second, or third place.

On top of that, the Sunflower withered.

Without the “Sunflower”’s purifying effect, once night fell in the game, mental corruption seeped in from every crack.

More than once, he dreamed of those players who had turned gray, transforming into monsters that rose from the darkness of the survival game to come after him. His emotional state was already teetering on the brink.

Today, “I Love Survival Game” triggered another server-wide announcement, even granting the entire server resource point rewards.

He watched coldly as players in his area, lured by this petty favor, fawned over “I Love Survival Game” in the chat channel like dogs. Even a small-time guy like him had become one of those sycophants.

His emotions snapped, and he unleashed a tirade at the other player.

When he saw Little Old Me “exposing” him in the group chat and turning against him, his temper was completely ignited. Blood surged through his body, as if rushing straight to his brain, making him breathe heavily and his eyes turn red.

He didn’t want to put up with it anymore, and he didn’t want to keep up the act. They’d all betrayed him!

Everyone had betrayed him! None of them were any good!

They all deserved to die!

【My Fate Is in My Hands, Not the Heaven’s: It’s me!】

【My Fate Is in My Hands, Not the Heaven’s: He’s right—I did it. I used a cursed item called “Catastrophe’s Reality” to curse *I Love Survival Game* to a miserable end.】

【My Fate Is in My Hands, Not the Heaven’s: I Love Survival Game deserves to die! I’m supposed to be number one on the leaderboard in Server 01; there shouldn’t be anyone else at the top. Stupid survival game—you give special treatment to anyone with a sycophantic username, huh? Just some farmer—what gives him the right to surpass me?】

【My Fate Is in My Hands, Not the Heaven’s: Too bad the item the system gave me is also useless. They hyped it up so much, but it can’t even kill a single person.】

【My Fate Is in My Hands, Not the Heaven’s: Those people died because they were useless—it’s their own bad luck! What’s it got to do with me? If you’re going to blame anyone, blame I Love Survival Game. Haha, @ILoveSurvivalGames, they really all died because of you.】

【My Fate Is in My Hands, Not the Heaven’s: If the Disaster Rain hadn’t been out to kill you, I wouldn’t have used it. If I hadn’t used the Disaster Realm, those thousands of people wouldn’t have died.】

【My Fate Is in My Hands, Not the Heaven’s: @Little Old Me, you piece of trash. I haven’t wronged anyone—and certainly not you. I know why you betrayed me: you want to suck up to me in *I Survive*. Do you even think you’re good enough to suck up to me?】

【My Fate Is in My Hands, Not the Heaven’s: So I admitted it—so what? Hahaha, this is a survival game. No one can convict me, and no one’s going to enforce any ridiculous sense of justice. I’m still a top-ranked player—I’m surviving way better than most of you!】

【My Fate Is in My Hands, Not the Heaven’s: @I Love Survival Game, I just want to kill you. If we ever run into each other in the resource zone or somewhere else, you’d better watch your back.】

【My Fate Is in My Hands, Not the Heaven’s: “Farmer,” ha.】

【I’m Domineering: Has this man been driven completely crazy?】

【Tranquility Yields Transcendence: You’ve cost so many people their lives without a shred of remorse or guilt—you’ll get what’s coming to you.】

【Reaching For The Moon in the Heavens: @My Fate Is in My Hands, Not the Heaven’s, then you’d better pray you don’t run into us in the resource zone or anywhere else—otherwise, you’ll have to pay with your life for the thousands of people in our district.】

【Little Old Me: I know I’ve done some pretty shady things in the past just to survive, but I’ve realized my mistakes. I hope my brothers and sisters in the region will give me a chance to turn over a new leaf.】

【Civil Engineering Brother: What’s wrong with the farmer? Can’t you see he’s number one on the combat power rankings?】Qi Yu didn’t respond right away because someone had just sent him a private message.

It was the man in this region whose luck remains a mystery—he needed a little money to save himself.

【Need a Little Money to Save Myself: Aaaah, help! There’s a lunatic on our server! Back up, back up, back up!】

【Need a Little Money to Save Me: But boss, don’t worry—I’ve got something good for you!】

【I Love Survival Game: ?】

【Need a Little Money to Save Me: I rolled this: Information · One-Time Location Card.】

【One-Time Location Card: Enter the ID of the person you want to locate, and it will display their exact location and the distance between you and them.】

【Need A Little Money To Save Me: With so many people losing their lives in that last disaster zone, I’m guessing we’re still in the same loop. Boss, enter the ID “My Fate Is in My Hands, Not in the Heavens.” That way, if he really does lose it, you’ll be able to take precautions in advance.】
