AFIAG Chapter 121

Trade Post

Not only that, but everyone discovered that the Bond Points between 【Long Live for A Hundred Years】 and 【Grapevine Peak】… have also reached the maximum!

【Congratulations to the guilds 【Long Live for A Hundred Years】 and 【Grapevine Peak】 for reaching 14,000 Bond Points! Your Bond Level has been upgraded to 10!】

【Bond Level 10: You can freely exchange supplies between the guild and your personal inventory】They’ve finally maxed out their bond level!

And once the Bond Experience is maxed out, not only can you exchange supplies without restrictions, but there are also quite a few hidden features.

For example, they can teleport to their teammates’ side at will. Now, unless Jian Xingyi and Shanhai are in the real world, the game, or special environments like dungeons, they no longer need the Unity Anchor!

Not only that, but anyone in the same guild can now teleport to each other—this is incredibly convenient. It means everyone can call for backup at any time, and it also allows guild members to better assist Jian Xingyi in building the trade hub. Otherwise, before the trade hub is established, everyone would have to trek across the entire map.

After discussing it with everyone, Jian Xingyi issued an announcement.

【Attention all players! The 【Guild】 feature is now available!】

【The 【Dawn Guild】, founded by player 【Xinghe】, has gone live today, and the guild feature is now available to all players on the server. Click here for more details!】

【Huh?? Holy crap? Is our big shot Xinghe rewriting the system right now?】

【So convenient! We can actually bypass system reviews, transaction fees, and regional restrictions to buy and sell directly?! Plus, as long as you register for the guild, anyone can do this. Holy crap, does this mean I can finally trade freely?】

【Aaaaaah! Players in Wave Mountain are ecstatic! Does this mean we can finally buy food?】

【Look closely!! We can deposit our game meat, and Xinghe will convert it for us on a regular basis—for as little as 500 dawn coins! What a huge blessing is this?】

That’s right. The guild’s operations require regular monthly fees, and building, maintaining, and repairing trade posts also costs money. That’s why Jian Xingyi set up this system using game meat as a channel for players to contribute dawn coins. However, it offers a high degree of flexibility—players can choose not to pay, or they can pay more.

This system was designed because Jian Xingyi wanted to help everyone. With just a single click, players can obtain enough beast meat to satisfy their hunger, which significantly eases the burden on many and prevents the meat from going to waste. However, Jian Xingyi was concerned that natural disasters might leave some unable to scrape together dawn coins, so he implemented this flexible approach.

Players who can afford it are welcome to contribute more, and those who truly can’t scrape together any dawn coins needn’t worry.

【My goodness, Big Shot Xinghe is like a bodhisattva! Since that’s the case, I can’t let Big Shot Xinghe down! If I can afford it, I’ll definitely pay more!】

Not only that…

【I can’t believe it—that trade post is absolutely amazing! Big Shot Xinghe is really saving us from the brink of disaster!!】

【I can’t even imagine how happy we’ll be once we have that trade route—no more sleeping rough under the stars… Big Shot Xinghe is so awesome! From now on, if Big Shot Xinghe tells me to go left, I’ll roll there—I’ll never go right!】

The guild operates on a self-governing basis; as long as everyone consciously maintains the guild, that’s all that’s needed.

Guild levels gain experience based on member activity. After Jian Xingyi opened the guild marketplace, many players listed meat and other items for sale. Players from disaster zones also began exchanging supplies there—for example, players in the Snow Mountain region, who were freezing to death, could buy fire seeds from players in the Lava region. Everyone traded enthusiastically, and Jian Xingyi’s experience points rose rapidly.

【Congratulations to player 【Xinghe】’s 【Dawn Guild】 for reaching Level 2. Reward: 【Startup Capital x200 million dawn coins】. Special Permission: 【Trade Post Protection】】

Jian Xingyi: “……!” Wow.

That’s what you’d expect from a guild reward.

Jian Xingyi took a look. Between the last zombie tide, subsequent quest rewards, and trading, he currently had 500 million in assets. With the addition of that startup capital, his total now stood at 700 million.

Jian Xingyi swallowed hard. When did he become a billionaire?

As for the “trade post protection,” it was one of the functions of opening a trade post—specifically, emitting a signal to ward off zombies and beasts. This prevented attacks and damage, saving Jian Xingyi a significant amount of dawn coins.

After establishing the guild, Jian Xingyi wasted no time and, together with Shanhai, Bai Jie, and others, set up a trade post at the entrance to Peace Mountain.

The setup was incredibly simple: all he had to do was find a sufficiently large open area, then open the guild page and select the construction function—and the building would materialize out of thin air.

Jian Xingyi mused, “This is one of the reasons why 01… no, why he and everyone else wanted to merge in the first place. Isn’t this so much simpler than reality? In the virtual digital world, as long as you have enough materials, you can build with a single click.”

A… signal tower appeared before his eyes.

Jian Xingyi took a look—this signal tower bore a striking resemblance to the underground fortress signal towers he’d seen in the real world!

The signal tower was a slender, towering steel structure, its height making it visible from all directions. —This was their first signal tower in the game, and also the teleportation point connecting everyone. Everyone stared at the tower’s spire, which soared high into the clouds, lost in thought.

Is this… witnessing history?

“Looks like we’re about to set out on another journey,” Jian Xingyi said with a smile, looking at Shanhai. “Next, we’ll have to go to every map to install signal towers.”

Unfortunately, due to the natural disaster, even though he held the authority of a Guild Administrator across many maps, the guild base had been destroyed, so direct teleportation was out of the question. They’d have to make their way there step by step.

And once they arrived, they’d have to face the Cataclysm head-on, searching for a safe spot—one accessible to everyone—to build the towers. But… was there really such a place?

Jian Xingyi felt a bit anxious. If there really were places immune to the Cataclysm, would everyone even need to relocate? Even if they managed to find a safe corner, wouldn’t it be difficult for players to reach it?

But they won’t know for sure until we get there.

Bai Jie said, “Our guild’s teleportation service is now available. If you need help once you reach your destination, just call us anytime.”

“Got it!”

After resting for half a day, Jian Xingyi and Shanhai set off for the Lava Volcano. Upon arriving at their destination, both of them were stunned.

This… was no longer the volcano they remembered.

The Lava Volcano used to be a desolate wasteland with scattered trees, yet it had its own unique charm. But now… magma pits were everywhere, and all vegetation had been completely destroyed. The moment they stepped onto the map, waves of heat made it almost impossible for them to breathe.

After taking a few more steps, their exposed skin began to redden, followed by a stinging pain. Shanhai frowned and said, “It seems volcanic eruptions are quite frequent here.”

Jian Xingyi coughed a few times, feeling a stuffy sensation in his airways. His whole body ached from inhaling the scalding air, so he immediately pulled out some mung bean soup for them to drink. Shanhai also used the cooling device they’d prepared for volcanic eruptions and attached it to Jian Xingyi.

But the item had a time limit and a cooldown period, and the mung bean soup could only provide temporary relief, not a permanent solution.

This… has already reached a point where survival is nearly impossible! Is every map like this?

Jian Xingyi frowned. “If this is a volcanic eruption, it’ll be nearly impossible to find a safe spot to set up the signal tower, won’t it?”

You don’t know until you look, and when you do, it’s a shock. After circling the area a few times, they saw that the surrounding lava hadn’t receded at all.

Halfway through, Jian Xingyi noticed several small tents nearby. Upon closer inspection, he saw a few injured players.

The in-game store sells healing items for players to use, but these items can’t be stacked. If the injuries are too severe, there’s simply no solution, so everyone’s condition was pretty grim—their bodies covered in burns of all sizes, a sight that looked painful just to look at.

This made perfect sense. After all, the volcanic zone was close to Peace Mountain, and there weren’t many players left there now. Those who remained were surely those who were too injured to move and hadn’t migrated to Peace Mountain.

Jian Xingyi furrowed his brow slightly.

“…Big Shot Shanhai?!”

They were startled the moment they saw Shanhai. The person beside Shanhai must be…

“Big Shot Xinghe…!”

One of the girls, who had been crying in pain because half her body was wrapped in bandages from her injuries, immediately broke into a smile upon seeing Jian Xingyi. Full of hope, she asked, “Big Shot Xinghe is here…! Does that mean… does that mean… you’re going to set up a trade post?!”

Jian Xingyi paused, then nodded. “Yes, but we can’t find a safe place to set up the signal tower.”

“Ah…” Disappointment flashed in the girl’s eyes. “There’s no safe place in this entire area—the lava won’t spare a single corner. During the last volcanic eruption, we either toughed it out using items or hid in tiny caves, dungeons, or behind rocks.”

But clearly, none of these options would work for setting up a trade post.

So the girl said, “If that’s the case, you guys need to leave right away! We’re too badly injured to move, but don’t linger—there’s going to be another volcanic eruption in about two hours…”

Jian Xingyi thought it over for a moment, then said gently, “Don’t worry, I have a plan. Just wait here.”

Jian Xingyi and Shanhai returned to the center of the map—a barren wasteland. Jian Xingyi said, “Let’s build it here. This is the most accessible spot for everyone.”

Shanhai paused. “This place will be submerged by lava.”

Jian Xingyi planted his hands on his hips, looking quite proud. “That’s exactly why I’ve come up with a solution. Instead of struggling to find a spot on every map, why not solve the problem with the trade post itself? I’ll just use a Wish Bottle and make a wish for my trade post to be immune to natural disasters—problem solved!”

Shanhai was taken aback.

That was indeed… a good idea.

Jian Xingyi then opened the Savior System and wrote this wish in the Wishing Pool.

【Wish can be granted. Do you wish to consume 1 Wish Bottle to fulfill it?】 Jian Xingyi had 4 Wish Bottles.

Using them now would be putting them to good use—a wise investment. Without hesitation, Jian Xingyi clicked. 【Wish granted! The 【Trade Post】 belonging to player 【Xinghe】 will be immune to natural disasters!】

Jian Xingyi, beaming with delight, established the first trade post after Peace Mountain together with Shanhai and posted an announcement in the Lava Volcano Zone channel.

【The Lava Volcano Trading Post has been established. Players may now teleport there!】

After establishing the guild and the trade post, Jian Xingyi’s reputation soared.

【Player 【Xinghe】 has earned the admiration of all players on the server. Reputation +20】

【Player 【Xinghe】 has earned the gratitude of players in the Lava Volcano Zone. Reputation +30】

Jian Xingyi saw that his reputation, which had originally been 50 points, had now skyrocketed to 300! 【100: Unlocks reputation points, which can be converted into Savior System experience.】

【200: The Savior can establish a 【Guild】, which allows for cross-server trading with no restrictions on players, amounts, or items, and can also 【Recruit】 members.】

【300: Saviors can create 【Alliances】 and recruit allies.】

【400: 【Feature not yet available】】

Upon reaching the 300 threshold, Jian Xingyi immediately unlocked the 【Alliance】 feature.

Jian Xingyi paused.

What is this?

How is this different from a 【Guild】?
