SYNOPSYS:
Luo Xiu’s husband died in the second year of their marriage.
His in-laws kicked him out of the house, and his elder brother from his maiden family wanted to sell him to a blind man for money. Left with no other choice, Luo Xiu had to move to the old house in the village to live alone while heavily pregnant.
Life in the village was tough. As a young widow with no man to back him up, anyone could walk all over him and step on him.
Later, he met a man who had come out of the military camp—he was tall, rough, and fierce-looking. At the very least, he could keep him safe, so Luo Xiu half-willingly and half-reluctantly slipped into bed with him.
The first time Zheng Beiqiu saw Luo Xiu was by the river. Rolling up his sleeves while washing clothes, Luo Xiu’s arms were as white as lotus roots—leaving Zheng Beiqiu so craving for him that he took two cold showers that very night.
The second time he met Luo Xiu, Luo Xiu had already married someone else, looking so handsome in his red wedding robes that he remained unforgettable.
The third time, Zheng Beiqiu climbed over his wall and finally got to taste him.
