Since his brain wasn’t quite up to par today, and his magic and mental energy hadn’t recovered, it definitely wasn’t a good day to go out. Qiyu sat on the beanbag sofa in the living room, opened the domain module, and checked on the status of his subjects.

With this temperature and the heavy rain, he was worried the plants might be affected.

Surprisingly, perhaps because most of them are magical plants and mutated plants, they’re holding up pretty well despite the cold.

Back in Gold Hole City, Qiyu had learned that in the game world, a season—just like in the post-apocalyptic world—lasts three months. 

It’s only the first month of spring.

Who knows if temperatures will warm up over the next two months, or if they’ll keep dropping?

The rainbow pumpkin seeds planted earlier in the domain have ripened, yielding 7 rainbow pumpkins.

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet—one of each color—truly living up to the name “rainbow pumpkin.” 

Qiyu took out two pumpkins.

The rainbow pumpkins are about 40 centimeters in diameter; Qiyu is holding one red and one yellow.

He slept through this beautiful day. The temperature in Star Forest has dropped so much, and the rain hasn’t stopped. He wondered how the players in Server 01 were doing. There are indeed people selling raincoats in the trading section.

The seller’s ID is “Little Old Me.”

Qiyu decided to check the prices, since he still had two thousand raincoats on hand.

Sure enough, people in the channel were cursing furiously, accusing “Little Old Me” of outright robbery.

Someone mentioned that they’d previously noticed someone secretly buying up plastic on a massive scale, sweeping up all the plastic listed on the trade page at low prices. At the time, no one knew what this was for, but looking back now, it seems someone from the Temple of the Gods must have foreseen the rain and deliberately cleared out the materials to sell them at a high price now.

Qiyu clicked on the leaderboard.

He found that “My Fate is Determined By Me, Not The Heavens” still held second place on both the Combat Power and Shelter rankings, but on the Wealth Ranking, second place had already been taken by “Reaching for the Moon in the Heavens”

As for the Combat Power Rankings, “The Temple of the Gods” had been in first place at the start, but after Qiyu climbed the ranks, it dropped to third. 

Now he’d been pushed down to fourth or fifth place, with third and fourth places occupied by “Reaching for the Moon in the Heavens” and “Traveler in the Misty Rain of Jiangnan,” respectively. 

Qiyu remembered that Civil Engineering Brother had mentioned that these two people’s professions sounded pretty cool—they were both paladins.

Comments were scrolling by incredibly fast in the channel, but with Qiyu’s current mental strength, keeping up was no problem at all. Even though his mind wasn’t working very well right now.

Quite a lot happened in Zone 01 over those four days.

A second player activated a location teleportation scroll—and this one was from the “Eternal Elegance” guild.

“Reaching for the Moon in the Heavens” bought it at a high price and tested it out with his younger brother, “Traveler in the Misty Rain of Jiangnan.” They discovered that as long as the visited player refused, the player holding the Location Teleportation Scroll couldn’t teleport to the other’s sanctuary at all. 

Furthermore, a Location Teleportation Scroll can only be used once; regardless of whether the other party accepts it, it is automatically destroyed after use. “Reaching for the Moon in the Heavens” made this information public.

With no worries about repercussions, the players immediately began to stir up trouble. Ultimately, with the power of the Group Contract Scroll, they reclaimed their resources and withdrew from the Temple of the Gods.

Most of these players joined “Timeless Elegance”—the Paladin class had brought immense popularity to the twins.

Now, “Timeless Elegance” is showing signs of surpassing the “Hall of the Gods” to become the top guild in Server 01. 

Without the support of those players, however, the tide turned, and “Reaching for the Moon in the Heavens” claimed second place on the wealth rankings.

Although the rewards for ranks 2 through 10 are the same—except for first place—for the individual, the difference is huge. 

Qiyu: “My Fate is Determined By Me, Not The Heavens.” Are you crazy? Just using a raincoat to steal money?

The temperature has dropped so drastically over the past four days.

After players entered the game, their stats were all boosted to some extent.

Back when it was 19 degrees, they could still tough it out with their physical fitness—even if they got caught in the rain, a shower and a warm fire at home would take care of it.

But now, with temperatures at 0 degrees, getting caught in the rain is something their game-enhanced bodies simply can’t handle. 

Staying indoors all the time isn’t an option either. Players used to be able to get some meat drops by raiding mutated creatures in the shelters, but after four consecutive days of rain, almost all the mutants have turned into swifts.

After a grueling run, all they get is a pile of compressed water and useless feathers. 

Exploring the Star Forest in search of daily-resetting treasure chests has become the main source of sustenance for many casual players. But in this weather, heading out without a raincoat is absolutely out of the question.

In the trading section, a player named “Liver Emperor” is selling straw raincoats for 1 emerald crystal each.

Even in the channel, with rain this heavy, a straw raincoat doesn’t provide complete protection—yet they still sell out the moment they’re listed.

Qiyu was still thinking about his pricing when he saw this, so he set his price the same. 

He couldn’t very well sell them cheaper than “Liver Emperor”—that would make things difficult for him.

These raincoats are actually very cheap to buy in Gold Hole City—you can get 10 for 1 gold coin—and reselling them yields a tenfold profit. 

No, actually, he was not really into making money this way.

If he really needed to make money, he’d much rather engrave magic scrolls or sell the mutant plants he grows himself. The former helps him refine my control over magic, and the latter is just fun to grow.

When it comes to trading, he supposes merchants like Civil Engineering Brothers are the ones who really enjoy it.

Just as he was about to list my items on the trading board, he thought of the Civil Engineering Brothers’ profession and sent him a private message.
