【Your friend God Has No Form has initiated a trade.】

【God Has No Form: Congratulations on making the server-wide announcement, Farm Owner.】 Qiyu accepted this congratulatory gift from his friend.

It was a teleportation scroll and two bottles of intermediate healing potions. For some reason, this scene felt vaguely familiar to him. A flash of insight struck him, and he seized the moment.

【I Love Survival Game: Are you afraid I’ll die, too?】

【God Has No Form: …】

Qiyu wondered why he had such concerns, and his gaze fell on the word “farm owner” that God Has No Form had posted. He was startled.

【I Love Survival Game: I Actually Have Two Classes—Check It Out.】

He showed God Has No Form his other class: Mage.

Then he showed him another screenshot. It was the Combat Power Leaderboard for Server 01.

At the top of the Server 01 Combat Power Leaderboard: I Love Survival Game.

【I Love Survival Game: Don’t worry,  I value my life greatly, and I still have the teleportation scroll you gave me last time.】

【God Has No Form: ?】

【God Has No Form: Dual classes? What kind of novel character trope is this?  He must be “Survival Game’s” favorite son, right?】

【God Has No Form: Could it be… that when “I Love Survival Game” says something, “Survival Game” actually believes it?】

【God’s True Form: Would it even help if I changed my name to “Survival Game Is My Dad” right now?】

Qiyu: “……”

【I Love Survival Game: I don’t think you can change your name.】

He was completely baffled:

【I Love Survival Game: Why do you always go around claiming people as your dad?】

It was the same before—calling him all sorts of things like “godfather” and “dad.”

Dan Xingyu:“……”

【God Has No Form: Generation gap, generation gap. A 29-year-old guy like this would never understand.】

【I Love Survival Game:?】

【I Love Survival Game: Aren’t you 28?】

“……”

For a split second, Dan Xingyu wanted to just come clean and admit that he’d lied before—that he wasn’t actually 28, but had just turned 18.

He couldn’t shake the feeling that lying to such an honest person was weighing on his conscience.

But clarifying his actual age in this context seemed more like making excuses. In the end, he could only play dead and keep up the pretense:

【God Has No Form: I’m young at heart!】

Qiyu didn’t quite understand the mental state of Earth people and nodded in puzzlement.

【I Love Survival Game: I’m going to reply to the others’ messages first.】

Though he said “others,” aside from God Has No Form, he actually only had two other friends—and one of them was someone he’d just added. One person had sent him congratulations.

Qiyu replied with a simple “Thank you” to each one.

Civil Engineering Brother asked him if he would continue selling energy towers.

With the harvest from the Crimson Maple Forest and God Has No Form’s sale of emerald crystal peaches, the energy tower could definitely be sold long-term. However, the most expensive part of the energy tower isn’t the tower itself, but the consumables.

Qiyu had already mentioned this to Civil Engineering Brother earlier.

【I Love Survival Game: You can sell it.】

【Civil Engineering Brother: Okay, so does that mean I can share the information about the energy tower with others?】 Qiyu could pretty much guess what he was thinking.

Sure enough, not long after, Tranquility Yields Transcendence and Dare Not Open Eyes sent him private messages.

【Dare Not Open: Game big shot, my class is Alchemist. I can currently craft most basic potions. If you need anything, I can trade potions for the energy tower. Or if there’s anything else you need, I’ll see if I have it on hand.】

Tranquility Yields Transcendence’s message was similar. His class was “artifact forger”; he currently had a high success rate crafting ordinary gear, and occasionally, with a bit of luck, he could craft unique gear with special attributes.

Alchemist, artifact forger.

Both are professions that allow for rapid early-game progression and serious money-making—no wonder both of them rank high on the wealth leaderboard.

Energy towers sell for 100 emerald crystals at the Wandering Merchant’s stall. Qiyu possesses the blueprint, and the manufacturing cost is 100 units of green base resources—equivalent to 20 emerald crystals.

He offered them a half-price deal: 50 emerald crystals or resources worth 50 emerald crystals in exchange for one energy tower. The two went their separate ways to gather the necessary resources.

A certain person who needed a little money to save him was devouring a cream-filled bread and then gorging on some meat. Once his stomach was full, his mind cleared up too.

After waiting for Qiyu to reply, he cautiously sent a message:

【Need A Little Money To Save Me: Game Big Shot, you mentioned earlier that magic crystals are pretty scarce—do you need any?】

Qiyu:?

【I Love Survival Game: Do you have any?】

【Need A Little Money To Save Me: I got some from opening treasure chests.】

He sent Qiyu a screenshot of his inventory.

【Level 1 Magic Crystals x70, Level 2 Magic Crystals x40.】

He actually has 40 Level 2 Magic Crystals!

【I Love Survival Game: With so many good items, how could you be in such dire straits?】

Need A Little Money To Save Me: “……”

When he saw that message, he nearly cried.

【Need A Little Money To Save Me: Because I’ve been opening all these items!】

He swore, but since he’d gone this far, he just couldn’t help but make a few snarky comments. Over the next few minutes, whether you’d call him lucky or unlucky…

Ever since he started as a beginner, aside from the food and water that come standard in the novice chest, his chests have basically never contained any gear, food, blueprints, or anything like that.

So what has he actually looted?

He showed Qiyu a list of items in his inventory:

【Yellow Jade Crystals x14, Emerald Crystals x28, various Magic Crystals, Pigeon’s Blood Rubies x3, Flame Red Stones x29……】

And that wasn’t even everything.

Although he was very grateful to Qiyu and thought he was a good person, having been taken advantage of once, he dared not flaunt his wealth again. He didn’t dare mention that he even had a piece of Epic-quality Mithril in his inventory.

The more Qiyu listened, the quieter he became.

How should he put it? Duo Ju had given him a very comprehensive price list.

So he knew the approximate prices that wandering merchants paid for most of the items on the list.

Are they valuable? They probably are.

But just as the character who needed money to save himself had complained:

【I’m trying to survive in this game—I need food, drink, and gear to boost my strength!】

【If I try to trade these items with other players, if I ask for a higher price, no one will buy them—and they’ll even call me an idiot. The prices people are willing to pay might as well be giving them away for free.】

Qiyu stared at his ID, lost in thought.

【I Love Survival Game: Hey, could it be that because you chose this username, the survival game just happened to notice you and thought you really wanted money, so it dropped all these rare gems, diamonds, and magic crystals?】

【I Love Survival Game: They’re all worth a lot.】

【Need A Little Money To Save Me: …】

【Need A Little Money To Save Me: Holy crap! I never even imagined that was possible!】

【Need A Little Money To Save Me: If that’s really the case, I’ve lost big time! I should’ve named myself “I’m Going to Be Number One on the Server” instead!】

He was utterly stunned. Amid his shock, his gaze fell on the username across from him.

【I Love Survival Game】

Even though players in Server 01 are now familiar with this username and can comfortably refer to him as a gaming legend, when they first heard the name “I Love Survival Game,” the vast majority of players found it hard to take seriously.

Quite a few had even openly mocked it as a “suck-up username” in the server-wide chat.

Combined with what Qiyu had just said…

Need A Little Money To Save Me: Could it be that there’s actually some truth to what they say about IDs?

Have the big shots in the gaming world really started sucking up to me?

His thoughts began to wander all over the place. Until Qiyu got down to business:

【I Love Survival Game: Want to sell some magic crystals?】

“Need A Little Money To Save Me” cautiously replied:

【Big Shot, I still have 70 Level 1 Magic Crystals. Could I trade them for three more energy towers? And what about the remaining 40 Magic Crystals—how should I trade those?】

【I Love Survival Game: Sure, what are you offering in exchange?】

【Need A Little Money To Save Me: Do you accept any of the items I just listed?】

【I Love Survival Game: If you’re selling Level 2 Magic Crystals, they’re 50 emerald crystals each. I’ll take all 40 of them, plus 40 Level 1 Magic Crystals at 10 emerald crystals each. That comes to a total of 2,400 emerald crystals.】

【I Love Survival Game: Energy towers are 100 emerald crystals each. I don’t have that many emerald crystals right now, but I do have wood or green-quality basic resources. Does anyone need any?】

He needed a little money to save the one who had long since opened his mouth wide.

He knew magic crystals might not be cheap, but the price quoted by the gaming big shot still shocked him.

He had already received two energy towers and witnessed their power firsthand.

So, two Level 2 magic crystals were enough to trade for one of these energy towers?

Upon hearing Qiyu’s words, he hurriedly asked:

【Do you have any green-quality basic resources—like wood, stone materials, and iron ore?】

He was referring to the resources needed to upgrade the shelter.

【I Love Survival Game: 400 units of green-quality wood—I’ll take 100 emerald crystals. Stone materials are relatively rare, so they’re worth double: 200 units of green-quality stone materials, 100 emerald crystals. 50 units of iron ore for 20 emerald crystals. Except for the wood, which will take a few days, I can trade the rest to you right now.】

Need A Little Money To Save Me needed to be saved from being a clueless fool, just listening to the big shots in this server as they list resources as easily as reciting a menu—resources he thought he’d never be able to gather in his lifetime; it was as if they were reading from a menu.

Most importantly, the value of these resources wasn’t even a fraction of those few dozen magic crystals!

He didn’t believe the game’s big shot realized that even if he slashed the value of the magic crystals in half—or even to a third—this country bumpkin might not even notice.

Yet he still quoted such a high price.

Qiyu didn’t receive a reply from the other side.

He wondered if the other party had realized the value of the magic crystal and had changed their mind about selling it.

Little did he know that the other party was wavering as he made one of the most important decisions of his life.

【Need A Little Money To Save Me: Hey, big shot! That’s all for now! I don’t really want anything else at the moment. How about we just leave the remaining 1,000-plus emerald crystals on the table for now?】

Qiyu:?

It wasn’t unusual for a debtor to say something like that.

But this is the first time he’s ever heard of a creditor offering to let the debt sit for now.
