He didn’t plant the screaming lily of the valley this morning.

This is where the Territory Module comes in handy. While in the treehouse, he opened the Territory Module, selected a few plots of land, and planted 200 lily-of-the-valley seeds. 

Next came the most important part: opening the chests.

The sight of three diamond chests neatly arranged before him was, without a doubt, incredibly striking.

Qiyu really wanted to say “Open,” but something occurred to him, and he held back. 

He stowed the three chests in his backpack and, unable to wait to walk down from the treehouse, jumped straight out the window.

This time, he didn’t need Azure Sky Wings; a faint blue magical aura spread beneath his feet, carrying him to a safe landing. 

Although he couldn’t fly to the sun, magic was still capable of briefly supporting his body and lowering him to the ground from a height of over ten meters. Qiyu first took a look at the seven-colored flower, which appeared to be asleep.

He resisted the urge to touch it—after all, this little guy had a fiery temper, and if he accidentally woke it up, it would probably be furious.

Qiyu looked at this familiar message and turned his head to glance at the Tree of Life not far away.

No matter how he looked at it, the Tree of Wisdom and the Tree of Life seemed to share the same roots and origin, and appeared to be of the same grade.

Given the precedent set by the farmhouse, Qiyu wasn’t surprised that the recruited subject didn’t appear immediately. He shifted his gaze to the last diamond chest.

One crimson, one deep purple—two beams of light quietly appeared before Qiyu. Looks like something big is coming!

Qiyu had seen the crimson glow twice before.

Once, he had unboxed a semi-artifact from a treasure chest—one that guarded his mage’s robe. Anyone who’s worn it knows just how comfortable that robe is. 

The other time, he obtained *Theory and Practice of Advanced Magic Circles* written by Professor Aegnor. Rather than simply acquiring a book, Qiyu felt as though he had gained a teacher. In any case, both were great finds. 

Adhering to the principle of saving the best for last, he first picked up the purple glow.

As the glow faded, a silver quiver appeared before Qiyu, containing twenty arrows. The survival game wouldn’t just give him something he couldn’t use for no reason.

The crimson light gradually faded, and a silver longbow slowly came into view.

Previous pieces of equipment—whether they were green-quality items or even the mage’s robe, a demigod-tier artifact—all came with equipment attributes and skill descriptions. 

Why is Idelan’s Bow missing them? 

Qiyu picked up the longbow. Just like the Guardian Mage’s Robe, Idelan’s Bow—despite being a semi-divine artifact—didn’t look particularly ornate. The longbow was silver, simple and lightweight, without any superfluous embellishments.

Qiyu couldn’t help but think of Teacher Aegnor. 

They feel pretty similar, don’t they? Both have this style—seemingly unremarkable at first glance, yet inexplicably exuding a sense of nobility. 

He first opened the “01 Survival Squad” group chat.

He chose to equip the Bow of Idelan and could clearly feel his Strength and Agility stats increase significantly. 

This suggests that equipment effects do exist—it’s just that players may need to figure out the exact values on their own.

As the only person in the entire region with a highlighted effect, the moment Qiyu spoke, it immediately caused a massive stir. Players immediately began reporting that they couldn’t see the stats on the gear they’d obtained either.

Is there a bug in the survival game? Come to think of it, what changes might have been made at the start of the new month?

That so-called “Barbaric Sword Technique,” on the other hand, was indeed quite barbaric—it showed no trace of deliberate refinement whatsoever, relying entirely on instinct to stab with a sword. 

If it were anyone else with the same physical stats, they wouldn’t have needed to struggle with that Level 2 mutated creature for so long.

But then he thought: his own combat skills were honed in the post-apocalyptic world through life-and-death battles with mutated creatures. Earth, on the other hand, was an extremely peaceful and tranquil place. 

During the beginner phase, many players said they couldn’t even kill a chicken and were scared of mice.

So it’s only natural that their attacks lack any form of strategy or technique. After all, before entering the survival game, they had no reason to learn how to fight.

Judging by Qiyu’s assessment alone, that player completely failed to harness the sword’s true potential.

Under these circumstances, killing just one mutated boar might be manageable if you take your time. But what if you were facing three mutated boars at once?

Qiyu looked at the flood of agreeing comments in the chat channel, thought for a moment, and called over the butler who was on patrol.

“Butler, you said you know forty-nine standard martial arts techniques. Could you pick the simplest one—the one best suited for beginners—and compile it into a tutorial?”
