Fetching chapter list…

Dan Xingyu then decided on his own: “Then I’ll just call you ‘brother’ from now on.”

He teased mischievously, “I can’t very well let the players in your district figure it out at a glance—that wouldn’t be any fun.”

Qi Yu: “What about you, then?”

Dan Xingyu was being quite hypocritical at this point: “Everyone in my server calls me ‘Er Shen’. If you don’t mind the name, you can call me that too.”

Qi Yu was puzzled: “Aren’t you afraid people will recognize you at a glance?”

The teenager’s eyes lit up: “Not at all. The livestreams are all of my new, big kids—it’ll actually make it easier for them to call me ‘Dad’ if they recognize me.”

Qi Yu:?

He didn’t understand, but decided to respect his choice.

【Attention all contestants: This round of “Speed Frenzy” is about to begin. Countdown: 5, 4, 3 ——】

Players not participating watched the livestream while chatting in the zone channel:

【Why am I getting nervous too? Big shots in this zone, give it your all!】

【Haha, I am really looking forward to the free-for-all. He’ll stop at nothing—is there any way to start a full-on brawl while driving?】

【Does anyone have any recommended streamers? I don’t recognize a single one.】

【Just pick one at random for now based on what catches your eye. Once the match starts, you’ll probably be able to tell who’s who.】

【Exactly, exactly. If they’re matched based on skill, will the “Gaming Pro” end up facing the top players from other regions?】

【Even though the top player is number one on the power rankings, he’s a “farmer”… I’m always worried he’ll get the short end of the stick.】

【Have any of you seen that live stream by the guy in the cape? I don’t know which player from the Newcomers’ Zone it was, but he looked just like the game model—super handsome—and was dressed in a really mysterious way. Could he be one of the top players on the leaderboard?】

【It’s starting, it’s starting!】

As a sharp whistle blew, countless bumper cars… cutely zoomed out.

“This thing actually has a speed limit of 40!” Dan Xingyu was speechless. “Are you kidding me? How can they call this ‘Racing Frenzy’?”

No joke—the competitors in this arena are at least the top one or two in their respective regions. With their physical attributes enhanced, they could outrun these cars on their own.

But in this round, he obviously couldn’t just get out and run, because the game displayed a warning: “Please fasten your seatbelt.”

Despite the speed limit, Dan Xingyu wasn’t exaggerating at all—he really did have plenty of bumper car experience. Ask him, and he’ll tell you he’s done every kind of part-time job under the sun.

Thanks to his skilled driving, the “Golden Lion”—the name he’d given his bumper car—was currently ranked in the top tier.

Shang Xingyu focused on driving, while Qi Yu sat in the passenger seat and had a bit more leeway to observe the other players.

He noticed that not far from their Golden Lion was the man with golden eyes he’d been keeping an eye on. His partner was that very enthusiastic player from District 108.

“Watch out!”

The bumper car suddenly took a sharp turn, causing the entire vehicle to skid sideways.

“Hehe…”

A pale, ghostly figure crawled out from beneath the ground right in front of their bumper car.

“What the heck is that?!”

“Oh no, it’s an ambush!”

“……”

Curses rang out all around them as a horde of strange creatures crawled out of the ground ahead—ghosts with disheveled hair, skeletal figures, and unidentified dark creatures crouching on the ground.

Not everyone had Dan Xingyu’s bumper car skills; some monsters appeared right under the cars, causing them to crash directly into them. Qi Yu turned his head and looked at Zuo Yongfang.

In a black “Cat Cat” car, a man with a deathly pale face and a bone necklace around his neck gave a faint smile: “The Undead Summoner of the Black Forest. Greetings to you all.”

【Holy crap, holy crap—this livestream episode is going all out right from the start!】

【Necromancer—what a cool class.】

【This guy’s no pushover right off the bat. The guy in the cloak who’s in the same arena as him must be pretty strong too. I’m really curious which big shot from the new server he is.】

“Wow, the Dark Duo from Zones 677 and 448 used the Undead Summoning spell right from the start and successfully disrupted their opponents. Now, the Dark Duo is taking advantage of this opportunity to pull ahead and is currently ranked first in this arena.”

“They’re already making their move,” Dan Xingyu chuckled. “This Necromancer opponent seems a bit impatient.”

Many teams, including their own, were quietly observing.

After all, everyone understood the matchmaking system and knew that none of their opponents would be pushovers.

This Necromancer has clearly disrupted the calm, as his summoned creatures are still on the field—some have even crawled under the car and onto other players’ vehicles.

【Damn, I’m scared of ghosts! If I were in his shoes, I’d be dead in a heartbeat.】

【Snap out of it. That’s exactly why we’re watching the livestream while the pros are out there competing.】

Qi Yu watched as his opponents reacted—some used a small sword-like item to kill the undead, while others simply punched the skeletons to pieces.

Qi Yu noticed that the man with the golden eyes didn’t do a thing—he merely glanced at the wraith in front of the car, and the wraith immediately turned around and lunged at a race car beside them.

Mental control? Or some other method?

【Wow, these undead are causing barely any trouble at all—the survival game’s matchmaking system really lives up to its reputation.】 Qi Yu glanced around, feeling somewhat dissatisfied with his team’s ranking.

He said, “Er Shen, hurry up—let’s pick up the pace.”

Dan Xingyu knew what he meant: “OK!”

Qi Yu didn’t pull out his wand; instead, he murmured a few spells under his breath, and magic surged.

A faint blue glow appeared around the golden lion, and the leisurely bumper car suddenly accelerated, shooting forward like an arrow leaving the bowstring and instantly leaving the vehicles ahead far behind.

“Holy crap, what was that?”

“Is that a speed boost item? No, wait—does that team have a mage?”

【Newbie here—is the guy in the cloak in our area a mage?】

Since the live stream picked up the in-game voice chat, viewers and players in Server 01 knew full well that it was Qi Yu who had intervened.

【I haven’t seen any top-ranked players whose class is a mage. Logically speaking, that class can’t be weak.】 If the players in Server 01 were just there for the spectacle, then right now, players in Server 88 watching the replay were absolutely blown away.

【Holy crap, did I just hear that right? Didn’t his teammate next to him just shout “Er Shen”?】

【Unless there’s someone else in the survival game nicknamed “Er Shen”…】

【Wake up—our live stream feed only shows streams from players on our own server. Server 88, with the title “Er Shen”—who else could it be?】

【The opponent is a Necromancer, and the teammate is a Mage—that actually fits “Er Shen’s” ranking quite well.】

【Is “Er Shen” really this handsome? I even had to step aside when it comes to looks.】

【What the heck? Only that few broke through the defenses? With tens of thousands of us in our server, are we really going to lose to some little brat?】

“Let’s see, the ‘Game Gods’ duo from Servers 01 and 88 are using wind magic to drastically boost their racing speed. Right now, the ‘Game Gods’ duo is way out in front!” The host’s high-pitched voice rang out to the crowd.

The moment the words “Server 01” were uttered, the gaze of nearly everyone in the arena locked onto the team’s Golden Lion.

The audience might not have realized it yet, but the players in the arena knew full well: they were either ranked first or second in their respective regions.

Since the arena is known to match players of the same rank, that means… one of the two people in that Lion car is very likely “I Love Survival Game.”

I Love Survival Game!

How many number-ones had gritted their teeth at this ID, yet were endlessly curious about it?

If, at first, they were merely curious about this ID that kept refreshing the server-wide announcements from time to time, then once the reputation leaderboard went live, the number-one players in every region began to break out in a cold sweat.

Before, everyone played on their own, with regions isolated from one another—no one knew how the others were doing.

But suddenly, the survival game revealed that while they were all ranked number one, others had already pulled far ahead, leading the entire server to claim the rewards. Whether it was being treated like a joke or being used as a pawn, no number-one player could feel good about that.

Lately, the top players across all regions—whether by choice or by force—have been getting caught up in the fray.

And now…

You’re saying the culprit is most likely right here!

What more is there to say? When it comes to entertainment, whether or not you take the top spot in the new game doesn’t matter—but with I Love Survival Game here, you absolutely must. As usual, the first to act was the impatient Necromancer.

He closed his eyes and began chanting. A dark mist swirled ahead, and from within it, a towering black figure blocked the Golden Lion’s path.

An elite undead creature: the Headless Horseman!

【No wonder he’s a rival to Er Shen—that sense of oppression is off the charts.】

Players in Server 88 suddenly realized:

【This arena matches players based on rankings. “Er Shen” is number one in our Server 88, so his teammate from Server 01 must be…】

【Holy crap, could it be that legendary “God of Bootlickers,” I Love Survival Game?】

【So the “God of Bootlickers” is actually such a young, handsome guy?】

【I hope they don’t get stuck on appearance when looking for teammates.】

“Let’s leave this to me.” Dan Xingyu’s expression didn’t flicker as he looked at the massive creature ahead. Qi Yu had been about to draw his staff, but upon hearing this, he withdrew his hand and nodded: “Alright.”

The Golden Lion was closing in on the towering Headless Knight, who had already raised his longsword and was about to bring it down with a fierce swing. Qi Yu didn’t move. Since he’d chosen to trust his teammate just now, he would now leave everything to the formless divine essence. Clang!

The Headless Knight’s greatsword was parried by a black longsword that had appeared out of nowhere.

Red flames blazed from the black longsword, spreading along the greatsword and engulfing the Headless Knight.

Without so much as a glance back at the Headless Knight’s wails, Dan Xingyu tossed the sword backward into the sky—

A massive shadow loomed down.

The black longsword, ablaze with crimson flames, transformed into a gigantic sword that filled nearly half the sky, crashing straight down toward the group of necromancers. “Is this never going to end?” Dan Xingyu sneered coldly. “Since you can’t hold back, I’ll send you home to watch the livestream first.”

Boom!

A massive shockwave sent the entire ring of bumper cars flying.

【Dark Group Race Car damage detected at 90%. You have one minute to restore the car’s integrity to 60% or higher; otherwise, you’ll be eliminated.】

The two who had just abandoned their car and fled: “……”

That thing’s already been smashed into a pile of flattened junk—how are you supposed to fix it?

【Dark Group, Eliminated.】

The massive black sword transformed into a streak of light and flew back to Dan Xingyu’s side.

The cold, intense look that had crossed his brow moments ago seemed to have never been there; he turned his head and asked the person beside him with a grin, “So, bro, that move I just pulled off—wasn’t that cool?”

Just like a little kid begging for praise.

Qi Yu nodded earnestly: “Very cool.” He liked it.

【…Damn it, showing off on a server-wide live stream—that kid Er Shen really had me fooled!】
