The three approached and knocked on the door. The dilapidated door swung open from the inside, and a man with a scruffy beard and a weathered expression stepped out. Upon seeing the three unfamiliar faces, his expression shifted imperceptibly toward wariness. “Who are you looking for?”
Sun Qiuhua stepped forward and smiled. “Hello, we’re ability users from out of town. We’re passing through the village and would like a drink of water.” Qi Shaoyuan nodded, closed the door, and went inside. A moment later, he came out carrying three bowls of water.
The three took the bowls and drank. Sun Qiuhua then said, “There’s a shady spot by the doorway—could we sit here and rest for a while?”
“Go ahead,” Qi Shaoyuan replied, then fetched a tattered straw mat and spread it on the ground so they could lie down and rest for a bit. He then closed the main gate. The three exchanged glances, and Sun Qiuhua whispered, “What do you think?”
Xie Xiuping said, “He seems like a decent person.”
Yu Wenchao, as always, was a man of few words. He murmured, “I can smell the stench of a festering wound.”
His sense of smell was a bit keener than most people’s; though it usually wasn’t of much use, this time it had uncovered a crucial clue. Sun Qiuhua frowned. “He doesn’t look like he’s carrying any injuries.”
Xie Xiuping lowered his voice to a whisper—so soft that even an ability user would be unable to make him out from a short distance away—“According to the intelligence we received, Qi Shaoyuan has a younger sister named Qi Yiyun. She’s seventeen this year and is also an ability user, though she hasn’t joined the Ability Squad. The two siblings rely on each other for survival. Could it be that his sister is the one who’s injured?”
It wasn’t out of the question. In this sweltering heat, a wound left untreated could easily become infected, especially since ordinary people don’t heal as quickly as ability users.
The three began discussing how to use this information to their advantage. They all carried the medicine Cen An had given them, so treating a minor injury or two wouldn’t be a problem, but convincing Qi Shaoyuan to trust them was a real challenge.
Just as they were pondering this, three people suddenly approached from a distance.
Two of them were ability users, and one was an ordinary person. But judging by their positioning, the two ability users seemed to be following the lead of the ordinary person.
Sun Qiuhua and the others exchanged glances. Xie Xiuping whispered, “The man in the middle, Cui Hongxuan, is the nephew of Cui Pengfei, the chief of Anjun River Bay. Relying on his uncle’s influence, he frequently bullies men and women and runs rampant throughout the village.”
The two immediately understood—this was likely Shi Jie before he turned over a new leaf… or perhaps the Anjun River Bay version of Sun Yuanhao?
Cui Hongxuan, accompanied by two ability users, strode arrogantly up to Qi Shaoyuan’s doorstep. Spotting the three of them, he frowned. “Where did you guys come from?”
Sun Qiuhua feigned fear and said, “We’re ability users from out of town. We were passing through and stopped by to ask for a drink of water.” Cui Hongxuan eyed Sun Qiuhua up and down, then waved his hand impatiently. “Get lost. Don’t get in the way of my business!”
With that, paying no heed to what the three might be thinking, he gave a nod toward the ability users behind him. “Go knock on the door.”
The ability user obediently stepped forward and pounded on the dilapidated wooden door, making it thud loudly. “Deputy Squad Leader Qi, we all know you’re home. Open the door quickly! Young Master Cui is here—he’s got some great news to discuss with you!”
The door swung open again, revealing Qi Shaoyuan’s face. The weathered, world-weary look had vanished, replaced by suppressed anger. “…Young Master Cui, I’ve told you before—Yunyun is still young. It’s not time for her to get married yet.”
Cui Hongxuan grinned cheekily. “Come on, brother-in-law, seventeen isn’t young—she’s old enough to have children.” Seeing that Qi Shaoyuan still wouldn’t budge, Cui Hongxuan’s expression darkened. “I respect you as the deputy captain of the Ability Squad, but you really do think you’re some kind of big shot. In Anjun River Bay, there’s no one I, Cui Hongxuan, want that I can’t have. Whether you agree or not, today, she—Qi Yiyun—must come into our family! We’ll carry her into the Cui household if we have to!”
Sun Qiuhua exchanged glances with her two companions: These days, there are still girls who don’t want to get married and have to be forcibly taken.
Xie Xiuping shook his head. “If this happened in our village, to put it mildly, Brother Cen would’ve sliced this guy to pieces with his iron sword.” Yu Wenchao looked even more somber than the others.
Sun Qiuhua gave the two a discreet signal. While the two combatants weren’t paying attention, she carefully pulled a leaf-wrapped packet from her bosom, crushed it, and sprinkled some powder onto the ground.
Before leaving, Cen An had given her a small medicine pouch filled with all sorts of random remedies—some he’d made himself, others he’d gotten from Zhang Xuedong. This particular pouch, for instance, contained the legendary “Itch Powder.” Even the slightest touch would cause the whole body to itch uncontrollably; bathing wouldn’t help, and the itching would last for a full eight hours.
With the wind blowing just right, Sun Qiuhua found the perfect angle and, without sparing a single grain, scattered the entire packet of powder over Cui Hongxuan and the two ability users.
In less than a few minutes, Cui Hongxuan—who’d been acting all high and mighty—started itching all over. “Damn it, what’s going on! Why am I itching so much?”
The two ability users were itching too, but they still had to tend to him. “Young Master, let me scratch you… Qi Shaoyuan, what did you do? Did you pull this stunt?!”
“Could it be an epidemic?” a woman’s voice suddenly rang out.
Cui Hongxuan looked in the direction of the voice and saw the three out-of-town ability users from earlier. The woman was covering her nose and said with concern, “I’ve heard epidemics often break out by rivers in the summer. Could Anjun River Bay have been infected?”
Cui Hongxuan’s expression darkened—epidemics had broken out in Anjun River Bay in previous years… He didn’t have time to worry about Qi Shaoyuan and Qi Yiyun anymore. “Hurry! Hurry back and find my uncle!”
He had to get his uncle to find someone to examine him!
The three of them ran off in a panic, and a flash of coldness crossed Sun Qiuhua’s eyes. She’d let him off easy with just one packet of itching powder—if she ever got the chance…
“Thank you,” Qi Shaoyuan said in a deep voice.
Sun Qiuhua smiled faintly. “Captain Qi, we don’t understand what you’re saying.”
Qi Shaoyuan looked at them and said quietly, “You moved very stealthily. Cui Hongxuan and his two men couldn’t see you, but I could. I don’t know who you are, but you’ve helped me nonetheless. I never owe anyone a favor. Just tell me straight out what you want me to do.”
The group all understood. True to form for someone who’d risen to deputy captain of the Ability Squad at Anjun River Bay—he might seem straightforward, but he was far from lacking in cunning.
The three of them had developed a strong rapport during this mission. Sun Qiuhua spoke up: “Can we come take a look at your place? My companion has a keen sense of smell—he says he detected the scent of an injured person in your home.”
Qi Shaoyuan hesitated for a moment.
Sun Qiuhua immediately added, “We have medicine.”
Qi Shaoyuan was taken aback and quickly opened the door. “Please come in.”
As the three entered the courtyard, they indeed caught the scent of festering wounds, along with the pungent smell of fresh blood. Judging by the situation, the injured person was undoubtedly Qi Shaoyuan’s younger sister.
The other two remained in the courtyard while Sun Qiuhua followed Qi Shaoyuan into the house.
The moment she laid eyes on the young woman, Sun Qiuhua felt an instant fondness for her. Qi Yiyun lay on the bed; her face was no bigger than the palm of a hand, and her features were delicate and charming—no wonder she had completely captivated Cui Hongxuan. Her complexion was pale, and she was drenched in sweat, yet her gaze was resolute. In that instant, Sun Qiuhua felt as though she were seeing Liao Wanwan.
Qi Yiyun could hear the sounds from outside and immediately gave Sun Qiuhua a grateful smile. Sun Qiuhua waved her hand and examined Qi Yiyun’s wound.
It was a long gash, running from her side down to the top of her thigh. She could see that some untreated herbs had been applied to the wound, but the outer layer had already begun to rot, while bright red blood seeped from within.
It was clear that if she hadn’t run into them, this young woman would have met her untimely end in just a few days. Sun Qiuhua sighed; she had often seen wounds like this before.
Ability users had a hard time getting medicines in this other world; if they were lucky, they might have some life-saving remedies on hand. For ordinary people, whether they would ever see medicine in their lifetime depended entirely on their fate.
However, for Yongning Village, those days of scarcity in medical care and medicine seemed to be a thing of the past. Nowadays…
Whether they were injured, sick, or even just sneezing, Brother Cen would always pull out the right medicine. Who knew how big Brother Cen’s spatial storage gear was? It was like an inexhaustible treasure chest—he could pull out just about anything.
It’s fine for us older folks, but those little brats in the squad—whenever they get hurt, they dash into the little wooden hut and howl a couple of times at the door. Brother Cen rushes out, scolds them softly for a bit, then resignedly pulls out some ointment to rub on their wounds.
The little rascals weren’t the least bit afraid; they’d just chuckle and scratch the backs of their heads, knowing they’d messed up—but they’d do it again next time. She was lost in thought for a while, and Qi Shaoyuan grew impatient: “Well? Can you handle it?”
Sun Qiuhua snapped back to reality, feeling a bit embarrassed. She was a grown woman—she’d only been away from the village for a few days, yet she was acting just like a chick that couldn’t bear to be separated from its mother hen, thinking of that man at the drop of a hat… She’d promised herself she’d handle this situation with grace and poise.
She immediately nodded. “I can handle it.”
As she spoke, she took out two small packets of rejuvenation paste. “Scrape off all the rotten flesh and apply these two packets of medicine. This should last for two days. We’ll find a place to stay at the Anjun River. Once you’ve used it all up, you can come find us.”
Upon catching the scent of the ointment, Qi Shaoyuan did indeed pause for a moment—it was top-quality rejuvenation paste.
As the deputy captain of the Ability Squad, he’d naturally seen rejuvenation paste before. However, Cui Pengfei kept a tight grip on all resources. Although he was the deputy captain, he wasn’t one of Cui Pengfei’s people; over the past decade or so, he’d only managed to save up that small amount of medicine, which he’d used up just a few days ago.
He simply hadn’t expected these three passing-by ability users to be willing to offer such a precious medicine; he’d assumed they’d only give him some ordinary medicinal powder… Where exactly were they from? Or rather, what were they seeking?
Giving the woman a long, thoughtful look, Qi Shaoyuan accepted the medicine packet. No matter what they were seeking, it was certainly not as important as his sister’s life.
In the end, the God of Summer did not take pity on this battered world; as the crowd prayed day after day, the temperature continued to rise.
Out in the wilderness these days, it was unbearable to stay out during the day. Even if one managed to climb a mountain through sheer willpower, the end result would be nothing more than dying of heat up there. When you put it that way, it was better to starve to death at home—at least you wouldn’t have to suffer before dying.
Of course, that’s true for other settlements. As for the people of Yongning Village…
A group of outsiders arrived in Yongning Village today. Though they can’t exactly be called complete outsiders—after all, once today is over, they’ll be one of them… Mao Zhengwang finally persuaded the villagers of Stone Spring Village and spent another seven days bringing them back.
The heat made the journey even more grueling. The group chose to travel in the mornings and evenings, stopping to rest during the hottest part of the day. With two wind-elemental ability users scouting ahead, the journey went smoothly; they even managed to find a water source every day, allowing everyone to cool off.
But even with such caution, some people still couldn’t hold on and passed away along the way.
The two wind-elemental ability users looked distressed, but the villagers from Stone Spring Village themselves seemed to take it in stride. Or perhaps they had simply grown accustomed to it. Natural disasters and man-made calamities never cease.
One man buried his mother along the way. After kowtowing, he stood up—and was actually smiling. “It’s all right. My mother went hungry her whole life, but at the end, she got to eat her fill a few times. She told me to thank you all. Even when she gets to the afterlife, she’ll still say she’s from Yongning Village.”
The wind-elemental ability user patted him on the shoulder. “Once you’re settled back in the village, come by and take your mother home.” The man nodded vigorously.
Today, they finally reached their destination.
The two Wind-type ability users looked ahead; the familiar scenery brought involuntary smiles to their faces, and they called out, “You all still remember what we said earlier, right? There are traps near Yongning Village. Line up now and follow in our footsteps—don’t step in the wrong place…”
As soon as they finished speaking, Mao Zhengwang immediately stood up. “Line up—in the same order as before. Does everyone remember? If you don’t, come ask me…”
Over the past few days, Mao Zhengwang had gained extraordinary prestige among the villagers of Stone Spring, and there was a growing sense that they were looking to him as their leader.
The rambling line formed, and the villagers, so tense they dared not even breathe, followed the person in front of them step by step. Everyone gazed longingly at the village growing closer ahead. “Do you see it? Do you see it?”
“Don’t push, don’t push… It’s true! There really is a trap. Look at that red thing—isn’t that the fire trap A-Wang was talking about?”
As if on cue, just as they were saying this, a sharp-toothed rat—whether it was suicidal or not—darted past with a whoosh, and the flames roared to life. Not even the rat’s corpse remained; only a pinch of black ash and a gleaming crystal core were left where it had stood.
The ability user on duty today picked up the crystal core as if it were routine, and the trap returned to its original state.
The villagers of Stone Spring were all in awe, gazing at the rows of traps with envy and longing. With these traps in place, surely they wouldn’t have to fear mutant beasts invading the village, right?
Suddenly, a commotion erupted up ahead. Before those in the rear could make out what was happening, they anxiously asked, “What’s going on? What’s happening up front?”
“There’s a mutant beast! A huge, huge mutant beast! Run!”
“Waaah, how can this mutant beast be so big? It’s bigger than a house—will we even be able to outrun it…?”
Just as everyone was in a panic, Mao Zhengwang came running from ahead, drenched in sweat. “Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid! That’s not a monster—it’s Yongning Village’s guardian beast. Didn’t I tell you before? His name is Dahei!”
The commotion gradually subsided, though the villagers remained terrified. The village’s guardian beast? Dahei? Is it really that big…? If it so much as twitches, it’ll crush a bunch of people to death, won’t it?
However, as they drew closer, everyone saw that Dahei was covered with clusters of children. The kids were sliding down its soft surface like a slide, then giggling as they climbed back up along its tail, which it had deliberately let hang down.
There wasn’t even a single adult around to keep an eye on them.
Throughout it all, Dahei remained as still as a rock, letting the little ones tug at his skin. His two black eyes, blending seamlessly with his coat, gazed gently at the little two-legged creatures.
As the villagers of Stone Spring watched, their fear gradually faded. One child even asked hopefully, “Uncle A-Wang, can I come here to play too someday?”
“Sure,” Mao Zhengwang said, ruffling the child’s hair. “But kids have to go to school and do chores. Once you’ve finished all that, you can come out and play.”
The child quickly nodded. “I can work!”
Just then, the gate to Yongning Village swung open, and a group of people came out to greet them.
A menacing aura still hung over this group; traces of supernatural abilities still swirled around some of their hands, making it immediately clear that they were a group of ability users.
The villagers of Stone Spring Village, whose spirits had just begun to settle, immediately grew tense; they didn’t even dare to look up. Ability users… to them, these were beings they could only look up to in awe.
Qu Yue, Zhao Wu, and Wang Lie led their group inside.
The villagers began to tremble with fear. What… what were the ability users here to do? Collect taxes?
The village elder’s expression also grew grave. He whispered to the person next to him, “Pass the word around—tell everyone to bring out the supplies they’ve prepared. Don’t let them have to ask for them.”
The villagers hurriedly rummaged through their bundles, looking quite busy. Qu Yue walked over, frowning.
The villager at the front obsequiously handed her a leaf-wrapped package. “H-hello, this is…”
Qu Yue immediately fired off a barrage of questions: “Why are you all so exhausted? Did you have a smooth journey? Look at these children—their lips are all chapped. If I’d known, I would’ve had you bring a Water-type with you… Li Wei, come dig a pit! Where’s Qi Yangze? Release some water!”
The villager who’d brought the supplies stood there at a loss, completely ignored, as two more ability users stepped forward from behind.
Li Wei pressed both hands against the ground, and a water puddle instantly appeared right where the supplies were being handed over… though, of course, it was currently an empty version.
Qi Yangze walked over with a blank expression. As he spread his palms, a rush of water gushed in. His ability had recently leveled up; now a Level 3 Water-type ability user, filling a pit this big—larger than a person—was a piece of cake.
Once the large puddle was full, Li Wei created a smaller, more intricate one nearby, and several Wood-type ability users worked together to line the bottom with leaves. Qi Yangze filled this smaller puddle as well.
Qu Yue then called out, “Use the water from the big pit to wash your faces, and the water from the small pit is for drinking. Let’s all spruce ourselves up—from now on, we’re residents of Yongning Village. A fresh look, a fresh start!”
Behind her, Wang Lie chuckled and whispered, “Those weren’t Sister Qu’s words, that’s for sure.”
Zhao Wu laughed too, equally quietly: “It was Xiao Cen who said it. Besides him, who else would be that meticulous?” Wang Lie smacked his lips. “It’s not really about being meticulous… it’s more like… dignity or something like that.”
No one would care about the dignity of a group of homeless villagers, but their Brother Cen would. Not only would he care, but he’d also show them respect whenever possible.
It sounds simple enough, but how many people can actually do it?
Just look at these villagers. At first, they had no idea what was happening and were panicking. Now that they’ve learned this water is for their personal hygiene, they’ve immediately cheered up—a few of the elderly even shed tears… Just two puddles of water were enough to make them this happy.
No matter how poor or timid a person is, they’re not a fool. They know whether you treat them like a human being.
The old patriarch let out a long sigh. “Coming to Yongning Village was the right decision. From now on, we have a way to survive.”
Seeing that everyone had started washing up, Qu Yue waved her hand and said to the two wind-elemental ability users, “Take them… Hmm? Where are they?”
Li Wei chuckled. “Why even ask? They must’ve seen us coming. Now that someone’s taken over, they couldn’t wait to run off and find Brother Cen!”
Qu Yue clenched her fist and scolded with a laugh, “You little rascal, I’ll beat them up sooner or later! Mao Zhengwang? Where’s Mao Zhengwang? Take them into the village and get them settled!”
Meanwhile, back at home, Cen An was indeed greeted by the two ability users, who had arrived looking thoroughly worn out from their journey. He was taken aback for a moment, then exclaimed with delight, “Why did it take you so long to get back? Go wash your faces.” The two ability users obediently went to wash up, then sat down at the stone table in the courtyard.
Cen An quickly picked some Cold Jade Melons, cut them open, and handed them to the two men. “Eat up—it’ll cool you down.” The two grinned as they munched on the melon.
As members of the Ability Squad, would they ever go without cold jade melons? Not only was Cen An never stingy with his own people, but given their contributions and points, redeeming cold jade melons was a breeze.
But how to put it… Ability users who’d been out on missions always made a point of stopping by Cen An’s place upon their return. It wasn’t just for food and drink; it was more about a certain feeling.
In this chaotic post-apocalyptic world, where people live with their heads on the chopping block, there’s someone who cares for you out of pure goodwill—gentle as a spring breeze caressing every blade of grass, regardless of how close or distant your relationship with him is.
It’s like a gentle ray of sunshine suddenly breaking through the icy, snowy sky—would anyone not want to draw near?
While munching on watermelon, the two of them pulled a jumble of odds and ends from their pockets and tossed them onto the ground. “We don’t even know what any of this is. You take it, Brother Cen.”
“Exactly. It’s just a mess—can’t be bothered to sort it out.”
Cen An sighed in resignation. Seeing that these were supplies rarely found near Yongning Village, he had no choice but to take them. “I’ll make something out of them and give some to you guys.”
The Chief still hasn’t figured out why the Ability Squad is helping the villagers keep track of his movements. It’s because these two—who are part of the Ability Squad—are a bit smarter and know how to come up with excuses…
Mao Zhengwang led his men into the village. “Wow, I’ve only been gone a few days, and all the animal sheds in the village have already been built. Are you guys heading up the mountain to catch small animals now?”
But weren’t there too many of these sheds? At first glance, it seemed like every household had one. Did that mean each family was responsible for one shed?
Wu Lihui, who was on fairly good terms with him, gave a mysterious smile. “Well, it’s not exactly urgent.” Mao Zhengwang looked puzzled. “Why not?”
Wu Lihui replied, “You’ll find out tonight.”
The Ability Squad had informed the villagers of the arrival of the people from Stone Spring Village several days earlier. Sun Xiaoshu led a publicity team from door to door, explaining the situation clearly: If Yongning Village wants a peaceful and stable life, it needs more people. Only with more people can we hunt down more mutant beasts; once we’ve killed them all, we’ll be safe.
It was a blunt but sound argument. When the villagers gathered to work, they discussed this topic, and everyone agreed it made sense. As a result, no one harbored any ill will toward the people from Stone Spring Village; at most, they just took a few extra glances out of curiosity.
But that was all—the people of Yongning Village are busy right now!
As for what they’re doing in this heat, and how they’re doing it… ahem, we’ll find out tonight. In any case, Mao Zhengwang was fobbed off like this the whole way.
The fears the people from Stone Spring Village had about being ostracized or singled out never materialized. Every villager they encountered along the way was warm and friendly; some children even brought wild fruits to share with the children from Stone Spring Village.
Of course, the fruit was picked from the mountains, not grown by Cen An. But even so, it was a precious treat. The people of Stone Spring Village were touched and put at ease; even though they’d only been there for an hour, they strangely felt a sense of belonging.
Considering everyone’s exhaustion from the journey—and the fact that there were some frail elderly people and children among them—the Ability Squad didn’t hold any welcome ceremony; they simply took them straight to their lodgings.
It’s at the foot of the mountain on the south side of the village.
They can’t stay in the village—at least not for now.
This area at the foot of the mountain is located within the village’s resource zone. Although there are no fences, traps have been set up to ensure safety. It’s also very convenient for gathering supplies.
What made them even happier was that twenty small wooden cabins had already been built here, which they could allocate among themselves. There were also twenty livestock sheds next to them.
The houses were very simple and had no furniture. But they were brand-new!
A few villagers still couldn’t believe it; it felt as if, ever since they’d entered Yongning Village, they’d stepped into a dream. “These… these brand-new houses—are they really for us?”
The simple—or perhaps simply accustomed to being mistreated—people of Stone Spring Village found it hard to adjust: “We’ll be fine living in our dilapidated huts; you guys can have the new houses…”
Mao Zhengwang smiled and helped explain, “Since the houses were built here, they’re definitely for us to live in. From now on, we just need to work hard to repay the favor.” The villagers looked at one another and nodded vigorously. “We’ll definitely work hard.”
Wang Lie watched from the sidelines, nodded, and gave Mao Zhengwang a few extra points. “All right, you guys settle in first. I won’t bother you anymore.” He took a few steps away, then added, “Oh, right—if you want to find anyone from the village lately, don’t look in their houses; you’ll probably find them faster in the livestock sheds.”
“Huh?” Mao Zhengwang was puzzled, but before he could ask, Wang Lie had already walked away at a brisk pace.
Mao Zhengwang felt helpless and had no choice but to help the villagers settle in. It took them half a day to get everything organized. By the time they were done, it was already evening, and he was drenched in sweat. “Everyone, let’s take a break. We don’t want anyone to get heatstroke.”
The villagers nodded in agreement. “Heatstroke is no joke.”
Someone spoke up: “I have some ice grass here. Why don’t we give some to the people from Yongning Village? Rubbing it on your body can relieve the heat.”
“I have some too. Let’s pool our supplies.”
“Do they have any remedies for heatstroke in Yongning Village?”
“It’s up to Heaven—what can we do? Ice grass is already a relief, but unfortunately, there isn’t much of it on the mountain… Count me in—I’ll bring some too.”
Mao Zhengwang thought that made sense and took the ice grass everyone had pooled together. After giving it some more thought, he realized he hadn’t been in the village for a while and didn’t know if the various office locations had changed. He decided to ask around first.
After much deliberation, he first went to his old place and knocked on his neighbor’s door. No one answered. He was puzzled—at this time of day, both the harvesting team and the cultivation team should have already finished work, shouldn’t they?
He then went to the home of a former colleague from the harvesting team, but surprisingly, no one was there either.
Scratching his head, he suddenly remembered Wang Lie’s reminder to check the livestock shed… He didn’t quite understand it, but there must be a reason he said that… right? Mao Zhengwang walked straight over to the shed and peeked inside—
Well, well—the whole family of four was inside!
His colleague smiled when he saw him. “Hey, A-Wang, you’re back. Did you just get back?” Mao Zhengwang was at a loss for words. “You guys… what? Are you living in the livestock shed?”
His colleague scratched his head. “Oh, you’ll see once you come inside.”
That line sounded really familiar to Mao Zhengwang. As he watched his colleague push open the door, he instinctively ducked and squeezed inside…
Instantly, a wave of coolness washed over him; the summer heat was completely shut out, as if he’d gone from summer straight into the crisp autumn.
Mao Zhengwang stared in disbelief: “……”
This is way too comfortable! Is this the kind of heavenly life you guys lead in Yongning Village?
