SYNOPSYS:
Liu Qishuang set his sights on the village bully and tried hard to marry him.
Liu Qishuang’s father was a man who married into the family. For years, he had not only tried to empty the Liu family’s coffers but also abused Liu Qishuang’s grandfather. He even planned to marry Liu Qishuang off to serve his disabled nephew. To prevent his father from succeeding, Liu Qishuang set his mind on the village’s major clan, the Wan family. He wanted to marry their ill-tempered third son, Wan Dongyang, hoping Wan Dongyang would deal with his father.
“Wan Dongyang, will you marry me?”
Liu Qishuang said this when he was exhausted. He thought it was just a fanciful thought that Wan Dongyang hadn’t heard. However, not long after, the Wan family actually came to propose marriage.
After the Wan family came to propose, the villagers said that even if the marriage was successful, Liu Qishuang would not have a good life because Wan Dongyang did not think highly of him at all.
Liu Qishuang completely disregarded the villagers’ gossip. He only knew that the Wan family were all good people!
Wan Dongyang’s parents were upright and kind; his eldest brother was smart and capable; his eldest sister-in-law was virtuous and managed the house well; his second brother was bold and strong; his second sister-in-law was assertive and protective of her own. Although Wan Dongyang had a sharp tongue and a bad temper, his ability to earn money was even greater. What did it matter if Wan Dongyang looked down on him? He cared about marrying into their family.
It wasn’t until the day they returned to the bride’s home after the wedding that he realized he had indeed chosen the right person.
“Isn’t hitting your father-in-law a tradition in your family? I’m just keeping with the rules,” Wan Dongyang said with an innocent look toward the bruised and swollen man before him.
Liu Qishuang stared blankly at him. Just as his mother was about to scold him, Wan Dongyang pointed at his mother: “I hit Father-in-law, so I won’t hit Mother-in-law for now. But don’t stand around either. Go prepare a table of good food and wine for your rule-abiding son-in-law.”

Small reading tips:
- Unconventional Gong: To him, males, females, old, and young are all the same. If they need to be hit, he will hit them.
2. Growth-Type Shou: He is already very smart but will slowly become more confident later on.
