AFIAG Extra 2

After the Great Battle (Part 2)

Jian Xingyi stood there dumbfounded for a long moment before finally saying, “No way!”

“?”

Jian Xingyi lowered his head, his face flushing, and whispered, “He hasn’t even proposed yet—why do we have to get married right away…”

No matter who’s proposing, you’ve got to make the first move, right?

“Ah.” Shanhai paused, then said earnestly, “Sorry, that was my oversight.” He really did need to propose properly.

Jian Xingyi lowered his head and said softly, “The engagement… we can do that first.”

And just like that, it was settled.

Upon hearing this, Bai Jie and the others immediately offered to help. Jian Xingyi naturally agreed; after all, it was more like a party to welcome him back than an “engagement party.”

Jian Xingyi returned, and the couple wanted to use the occasion to announce their plans to marry and receive everyone’s blessings.

Jian Xingyi also began checking the status of his terminal.

Almost all his terminal skills had disappeared, but one skill remained.

【The 【Turn Stone into Gold】 skill has been converted into the 【Golden Touch】 skill. The holder can quickly identify plant species and their uses and conditions, and the plants they cultivate will never wither.】

After all, “Turn Stone to Gold” required Essence Points, and since he no longer needed Essence Points, he had swapped it for a skill that, while rare and precious, was something ordinary humans in the real world might possess.

Jian Xingyi really liked it.

If that’s the case, does that mean whatever flowers he grows or whatever vegetables he plants in his fields will never die?

And all the materials in his backpack were gone, replaced by money, building materials, and food— and he still had room left in his backpack.

Jian Xingyi looked at his backpack full of materials and couldn’t help but marvel at how wealthy he was.

It really does feel like playing a game where you become a millionaire. The only thing missing is a money-printing machine, he guessed…

Wait a minute?!

Holy cow! What is that?!

Jian Xingyi’s eyes widened in shock, and he realized…

【Guild Privileges】 and 【Grand Merchant System】 have been converted to 【Currency Privileges】. Holders may apply for unlimited funds through the guild.

Jian Xingyi: “?”

What’s the difference between this and a money printer?!

In other words, he could apply for funds at any time through the online shopping platform used by Shanhai and the others—funds that could only be used by himself and couldn’t be transferred. Even though they couldn’t be transferred, it still felt pretty shady…

Jian Xingyi swallowed hard.

Rumor has it that Bai Jie and the others have established a new government—he wonders if it counts as a society governed by the rule of law. Would they come after him? But probably not…

Let’s keep reading.

【The 【Savior System】 has been converted into 【The Savior’s Blessing】. The bearer’s health and lifespan are enhanced, and those around them receive the same benefits; the longer they spend with the bearer, the greater the benefits.】

Jian Xingyi’s eyes widened.

Perhaps… that was the greatest reward of all.

Jian Xingyi wrapped his arms around Shanhai.

“What’s wrong?”

Jian Xingyi grinned, “Just cuddling with you, cuddling a little more.”

Shanhai was at a loss for words.

“Good boy.” He reached out and ruffled Jian Xingyi’s hair.

Jian Xingyi said, “We’re going to live a hundred years, open a restaurant, and farm in the future!”

“Okay. But why bring that up all of a sudden?”

Jian Xingyi told Shanhai about a skill.

Shanhai said gently, “You’re a little lucky fish now.” It actually fit Jian Xingyi’s definition.

Jian Xingyi was everyone’s lucky charm; without him, victory simply wouldn’t have been possible.

Jian Xingyi put his hands on his hips and said, “And a millionaire, too! Little brother Lu Yan, follow me, and you’ll never have to worry about food or clothes for the rest of your life!”

“Alright.”

Three days later, everyone had gathered.

“Xinghe……!”

The crew from Lava Volcano had arrived—the same group of guild members who’d been fawning over him. Even now, five days later, they still seemed a bit guilty.

The group from Flag-Raising Mountain has arrived. Houyi and Yue, brother and sister, have brought a whole bunch of local specialties with them. With a large entourage trailing behind them, it looks like Flag-Raising Mountain is the most crowded today.

The Snow Mountain crew has arrived. Wu Yun is pushing Cangshui, followed by Mao Tuan, Meimei, and others. Behind Meimei is a group of “flower guardians”—enough to

show that even after five rounds, Meimei is still locked in an intense tug-of-war with them.

The group from Wave Mountain has arrived. The two sisters are clinging to Jing Luo, acting all lovey-dovey. Before, he hadn’t really noticed it, but now that his memories have returned, Jian Xingyi looks at Jing Luo with a touch of tenderness; after all, the guy was his right-hand man back in the second round.

Finally…

The group from Rainforest Mountain arrived. When Yu Shen came over, Jian Xingyi noticed he was holding hands with Canglang, behaving intimately. It seemed they were living happily together. Canglang’s sister and the rest of the group were right behind them.

Jian Xingyi breathed a sigh of relief and felt truly happy. Yu Shen was no longer alone.

Bai Jie, Heiye, and the others had prepared a continuous banquet. After everyone took their seats, they warmly exchanged greetings.

Jian Xingyi sat at the head table, quietly listening as everyone discussed the establishment of their new home. Grape Mountain Peak had now become the “central government,” but the members of Long Live for a Hundred Years felt they were unworthy of such a position, so they served only as ordinary administrative staff and did not participate in decision-making. They remained harmonious neighbors, while the other maps had also established governmental districts managed by Cangshui, Yu Shen, and others.

“Oh, right!” The outspoken Mao Tuan turned to Jian Xingyi and asked, “Now that Xinghe’s back, does that mean we’re getting a new boss?”

Bai Jie chuckled softly. “If Xinghe’s willing, then naturally he should take over.”

“The restaurant… managing all this…”

“ No, no, no—” Jian Xingyi nearly lost all his sanity, then said earnestly, “I was planning to travel around with Shanhai later, farm the land, and open a restaurant. I don’t know how to do those things either. It’s such a headache, and it’s exhausting.”

Le Ke called him out:

Jian Xingyi gave a nervous laugh.

“You just want to have fun.”

Bai Jie’s gaze softened. “No problem. I just hope you remember that we’ll always reserve the best spot for you. This world is your child—you can do whatever you want, and have whatever you desire.”

Jian Xingyi was taken aback.

His heart felt warm.

Mao Tuan shouted boisterously, “Come on, everyone, let’s drink up! Here’s to Xinghe’s return!” Everyone raised their glasses in unison.

“Clink!”

Then the two of them announced the happy news.

“Holy crap?! Congratulations!!”

“That’s great… I was worried Shanhai might not make it.”

“Congratulations!! Best wishes to you both in advance!”

“Holy shit?!” Cola was on the verge of tears, “My brother’s getting married, and I’m still single. At least Bai Jie looks like she’s going to be single for life too—I’ll have someone to keep me company.”

Bai Jie shot him a cold glance. Ke Le looked a decade older in an instant.

“Congratulations… So, what are your plans for the wedding?” Yu Shen asked curiously. “Where will it be held?”

Jian Xingyi and Shanhai exchanged glances. “We don’t know yet… We might just keep it simple—find a random spot, exchange vows, and call it a day.”

Jian Xingyi’s main priority was having the formalities in place; the level of detail didn’t matter. Both he and Shanhai were people who valued life over ceremony.

Yu Shen chuckled softly; it certainly suited their style.

“Alright, let us know when the time comes. At least let us send our blessings from afar.”

“Sure!”

Half a month later, Jian Xingyi had recovered, and the two set off on their journey.

At the old trading post and new memorial hall on Peace Mountain, Jian Xingyi saw… his statue.

The silver statue glistened in the sunlight, lifelike and towering—a full… ten times Jian Xingyi’s height. Jian Xingyi stared in astonishment.

Shanhai commented, “It’s truly exquisite, and the expression is quite lifelike.”

Jian Xingyi pointed at the statue, as if the sky were falling. “Do I usually look that goofy when I smile?”

The sheer scale… had magnified his features to the absolute limit.

Shanhai: “They didn’t skimp on the materials either—it’s made of solid silver.”

Jian Xingyi: “……”

Husband, say something.jpg

Jian Xingyi’s gaze was so intense that Shanhai paused for a moment before offering comfort: “Statues vary from region to region.”

“Really?!”

“You can check them out one by one.”

Anyway… he’s still just as clueless.

Regardless, the two set off on their journey, checking off one destination after another.

Jian Xingyi went from initial shock to denial, then to helpless rage, and finally to acceptance.

It was actually kind of cute to watch, if he was being honest.

Three weeks later, the two arrived at the rainforest area.

Shanhai paused for a moment and said, “I want to take you somewhere.”

Jian Xingyi’s ears turned slightly red; he seemed to have guessed what Shanhai was planning.

Last time… last time, Shanhai had confessed his feelings at the Sacred Tree.

And after his memory returned, Jian Xingyi also understood why they hadn’t received a reward when they visited the Sacred Tree before.

—Because they had already received their reward long ago.

Whether it was the first time or the second, no matter how many times they restarted, they always fell in love with each other all over again—truly a magical fate.

That’s why the Sacred Tree held such sentimental value for them. Sure enough, Shanhai brought him there.

“Xingxing.” Shanhai pointed up at the sky. “Boom—!”

At that moment, several fireworks burst into the sky.

Jian Xingyi looked up in a daze, somewhat surprised. So, when had Shanhai set them off?

“Wow!! What are you…”

Jian Xingyi turned his head just in time to see Shanhai kneel on one knee before him, holding a small wooden box in his hands. Inside the box lay a pair of simple matching rings.

In this era of burgeoning industries, the rings weren’t particularly flashy; they were simply two silver bands crafted from ordinary minerals. Yet they held their owner’s deepest feelings.

Shanhai asked earnestly, “Will you entrust yourself to me and spend the rest of your life with me?”

Jian Xingyi smiled softly and held out his hand. “Yes.”

Shanhai slipped the ring onto Jian Xingyi’s ring finger, and then Jian Xingyi did the same for him. It was as if their bond had taken tangible form; from that moment on, they were officially partners.

Jian Xingyi hadn’t come empty-handed either.

He shyly pulled a bouquet of baby’s breath from his backpack.

Shanhai was taken aback. “When did you grow these?”

Jian Xingyi grinned. “Take a guess.”

Jian Xingyi handed Shanhai a large bouquet of baby’s breath. “This is for you…”

Shanhai took the flowers, pulled him close, and kissed him tenderly.

There were stars in the sky, stars in his hands, and stars in his arms.

Before long, “Starlight Restaurant” became famous throughout the Eighth District. Everyone knew it was a restaurant run by a former Savior and a former player—now the restaurant owner and his partner.

Starlight Restaurant offered a wide variety of delicious dishes that were sure to leave a lasting impression.

And most importantly, the ingredients at this restaurant were so, so, so fresh!

People couldn’t understand how the ingredients here could be so much fresher and tastier than anywhere else. It was as if the vegetable leaves were enchanted, carrying the freshness of the soil. Not only that, but if you came here to eat while sick, you’d feel much better—it was almost as if you’d absorbed the essence of the earth.

Some say it’s because the owner picks the ingredients fresh from his backyard, and the meat comes from his own livestock.

While the owner is busy cooking up front, his partner is out in the backyard tending to the garden—watering, fertilizing, and feeding the animals.

It’s just a shame that the owner loves to slack off—he’s all over the place, often taking off with his partner to travel and sightsee—so whether you get to enjoy delicious food really depends on a stroke of luck.

Fortunately, because the owner loves to travel and he and his partner don’t have a fixed home—constantly moving from one location to another—the restaurant pops up in different spots, becoming the most anticipated event for everyone in each area.

The only question is, will the owner be open for business today?
